this storyline was disgusting. marty and susan haskell deserved so much better than this. i wish she had had some scenes with roger howarth when he came back but i understand her being done at that point. frankly, it doesn't matter that we all know the real todd never would have done what victor did to marty because at that point Victor thought he was todd and trevor st. john was still ostensibly playing todd. the show try to backpedal on this so many times after roger howarth came back but it was too little too late. this was beyond disrespectful to the original writing for these characters and all the performers involved. the only other soap retcon that was in this poor taste was erica kane's un-abortion. blegh.

I guess the only good thing to come out of this is it was Todd's twin. I loved that real todd called everybody out that they believed todd would set up a " love shack " for him & marty. Everyones faces looked ashamed. Plus real todd would never even think of taking Starr 'a baby & making her think she was dead. The only reason he changed his mind is Marty agreed to have a baby with him. Yuck.

The real Todd Manning would never allowed To keep a secret that Jessica was Tess after Jessica lost Nash and that Tess went on a rampage. Real Todd would of made sure that he had helped his nieces

Awful,Disgusting story that still to this day should have never happen, i don't know how oltl writers thought fans who watched the orginal story of todd and marty would be ok with this is the biggest reason why the character of todd manning should never ever been recasted

I agree some actors really can't be recast. Todd was such a unique character if Roger wasn't playing him nobody should. Esp when the actor in real life thought he was really being cast as walker Lawrence. When he had chemistry I guess w/ kdp they decided let's make him todd ! Ugh. He pretty much tanked all his scenes purposely w/ Todd's main people viki starr & Blair. Real todd never would have done this to Marty or pushed starr down a flight of stairs or wanted to steal starrs baby let her believe it died. Even Erika said she was stunned by his acting choices when viki said u truly are our fathers son & tsj had zero reaction. Actors may have the lines but it's all in how they play it. I think oltl figured hey Erika was viki no. 3 or Robin was dorian no. 4 & was brilliantly recast w/ Elaine princi. But every tina recast was terrible. Clints recast was so not Clint they just made him pure criminal evil. I think Tina's recast Karen written did a really decent job but the next one was written horribly. It's like when rh came back all was made right. I think my favorite scene from the 00s was rh learning of Marty's kidnapping & shaming all in the room saying " nobody questioned that???" Todd manning never ever would hurt Marty again let alone sleep w/ her. I also loved when he asked what was Marty's excuse & john said she had amnesia. Rh todd said well that explains Marty's thinking. I also loved when his dna test came back he was todd & viki looked so happy as well as starr. It was sad Blair didn't get it. Of all people Blair was crazy to think he was todd after 2 kids & 3 marriages. ??? Tea even got it & cried. Viki was really the first to know down deep as she took him in & payed his bail. I forget why he was arrested maybe pulling a gun on Victor. Well again all was corrected making " todd " some long lost twin who was brainwashed. When rh left leave the recast alone ! It's like bo or Nora or Asa being recast. Awful. Or megan. Thankfully they never recast Karen wolek & Judith's integrity told her do not return for the cancelation. They begged her but she said Karen had zero ties or purpose & her story long ended. The returns of old faves that never should have left or gotten away were rh Andrea Evans John loprieno Fiona Jessica tuck & Susan batten as charlies angels. Fans tuned in for the all time favorites. Not the wasted newer characters. I was mad Robin & Erika didn't end the show. They sent Dorian packing months b4 the end well at least as a senator. I was not thrilled the very last scene was Allison Perkins & Victor Jr. Yes it was a shocker but they knew it would be. Please & viki reuniting w/ evil Clint. Todd & Blair finally reuniting but interrupted for the false murder of victor. Or matthew being another teen parent having a baby. Marty leaving as a total pycho at least she left w/ Patrick. What a waste rh & sh didn't share a scene. He just saw Marty & Patrick on a plane Victor got them off in. Oltl did its best but it's sad what it should have been. Andrea should have returned as tina permanently in 08. The show revolved sadly around vikis trollop twins.
