I think for the Africa one. I would've maybe painted it in reverse. Gold first then add a super thin watered down black paint to do a quick blackwash and dab most of it away so the black emphasizes the texture. Never worked with plaster of Paris though so I'm not sure if it would've gave me the look I picture in my head. Also I might've kept the marble coaster/slab as is if it were possible. Love your DIYs! I'm running through your videos to bookmark what I want to recreate for the house I'm moving into.
