I am now 75 and have been besotted with music since I was 16. I played tenor sax for many years and like a fool gave up about 25 years ago. Now I am playing again but now on flute. I eat sleep and dream jazz and especially Latin Jazz Nora really defines what I have always believed in music. If you don't feel the music you can play or sing your heart out you just are not there. The thing this lady does for me is she makes me feel the song, the music, the guts of the tune. She does this so well - she makes me fall in love with her and by doing this much more importantly with the love of my life - whom I married 51 years ago. Nora you are a magical musician. Thank you!

Norah's album, "Come Away with Me", had been out for only 6 months and it was generating a ton of buzz. I found out that she was coming to the Rochester Jazz festival so I immediately got two tickets. She played her entire album for about 50 - 75 people in small, cozy atmosphere. I sat so close I could have reached out and grabbed her. Although she was nervous and not as polished as she is now, she was SPECTACULAR! After she was done playing, the crowd gave her a standing ovation and asked for an encore, which she graciously honored. At first, my girlfriend wondered why we were going to see a relatively unknown Norah, but by the end of the night, she had become a huge fan. This was one of the musical highlights of my life!
