Listening to norah makes me think of being a little girl and listening to it in the car with my mother. I am now almost 19 and my mother is now in her 50s and we were in the car together not too long ago and i put on norah. My mom looked over at me and said “I never get sick of listening to her” and i said “Neither do i” but i also knew this was my moms way of saying that these kinds of moments together will always be happy and special.

I have this same experience, but this was my nightmare song as I grew up lol. My mom would play it all the time when we were going to sleep and I would have nightmares of being stuck in the middle of the ocean with nothing in sight. When this song came out, I was living in a city where I didn't have many friends, and felt totally isolated because the people around me were living really unhealthy, unsafe lives. I felt like I couldn't find my way. The sheer beauty of this album offered me a lot of solace in that time. Eventually, I moved away and built a really happy life. This past week I was back in that same city. I was in a beautiful restaurant (that didn't even exist when I was living in the city) and this song came on. I felt a sudden wash of compassion for myself and everyone I knew in that time. Thank you, Norah for sharing your gift over these many years.

I’ve always loved this tune but this raw, stripped down version is my favourite. Years ago, during a jam session with some friends in the best pub that ever existed, a professional and very pretty soprano turned up and sang Gershwin’s Summertime with us. We all knew that where she’d placed herself, there was going to be a note that seemed impossible for any human to reach… and she hit it, clear as crystal. As my friend, a great jazz guitarist in his seventies, said afterwards, ‘at that moment, every man in the room fell in love with her’. Norah Jones has that same talent for melting hearts, she’s incredibly gifted, beautiful and full of soul.

@@brianmgrim A camera's microphone isn't a typical microphone a singer will use during performance. Many professional singers use vocal enhancements that filter through their microphone to better their voice. This isn't the case here. I see how ignorant and sarcastic you're being, so you're comment is pretty pointless aha. But to clear your confusion not many singers can sit at a piano, sing and sound as good or better, with no professional microphone or vocal enhancements, than their vocals recorded in a recording studio.

I came here watching a plane landing at KIX international and the song was playing on the background. I have listened to Nora Jones since she first appears in my musical universe and boy, watching her now is like I am entering her own universe! It all seem so unpretentious. The simple furniture, no luxury or high end machinery. Actually, it looks like my grandmother's house. It speaks of the simplicity of this artist and the raw talent she displays. She just could be anyone sister or cousin singing for the family in the living room and everybody in awe admiring her beautiful voice. No many artists have the power to impact people like she does. Truly an angel's voice.

This is my cat’s favorite song. Maybe she only likes this song. But she finds these magical chords irresistible.

This is my cat's favourite song too. She plays it on the piano regularly. But she needs some help with her singing. Norah do you do singing lessons for cats? 🎤🐈 🎹 Btw. That was a beautiful performance. Thank you 💓

This is amazing in its pure simplicity. Her voice sounds so amazing just as is! No fancy electronics. Just mother nature's gift. God's blessing. 🙏🏽❤️

Beautiful arrangement, and delivered with poignant sincerity....no,we can't go out and play in public, but we can "sit" with Norah and feel a part of that intimacy, that only those artists of such stature and presence can deliver.Sitting at home with Norah in a Covid world,.....there are some benefits, and thanks for that glance at the end Norah.Nothing short of magical.
