My 2 cents: Well, another great synth that went absolutely under my radar for too long. Or at least which hasn’t caught my attention because I thought it was mainly a 303 clone with extended possibilities. And again I stand corrected. The Norand Mono is a fantastic synth with lots of exciting sound design possibilities. It can deliver acid sounds on steroids, drones, percussion, hard industrial basses and almost anything in between. Analog Thru-Zero FM, wave shaping, and an interesting morphing SVF add to that flexibility. Now, add an LFO including audio rate modulation per Parameter plus another mod generator. Awesome! The overall sound tends to be a bit harsher with strong mids. Although it has a lot of character it’s certainly not a sweet-spot-only synth. So I’d recommend to be careful with levels and mod rates. But once you’ve spent some time with it, Norand Mono is a great addition to any electronic music setup.

Flew under the radar for me as well for a while. The other one that is similar but even more insane is the Motas-6. Like a wall of modular in a monosynth. Have you seen that one? The SoundCloud demo Planet Motas is kinda nuts when you think about it. I want a Norand Mono2 and a Motas-6 one day as my modular without cables rig haha.

Great demo. Got this little gem a while ago and was really surprised at the sound, flexibility, and usability. I'm still learning how to use it to its fullest capabilities.

Nice one! Ignored this one so far, but judging by your video, it has more to offer than I initially thought.

Same here! It goes way beyond of what I'd initially thought it would do. Great unit

great video, what firmware are you currently using? any important bug to be aware specially for live performance?

After the video, a fw-update was released. As it was already pretty solid at the time the video was shot, I guess you should be able to use it live.

Add an 808 or 606 and you've got Sheet One. ;) Sounds good!

Awesome. What is "Chord Mode"?
@limbicbits Жыл бұрын
Just a name for the preset. I've used a 7th detune of the oscillators to create a very basic chord sound

I interest on it when it was coming out, but I found out I have too much mono synth already.

I know this doesn't help but just because of all the additional features I'd say this one is a different game. On the other hand - spending less is always a good thing
