WoW Chris got you... I'm glad i found your channel, just enjoying your vids lately.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insights! Seems like a lot of fun.. i just (re-)started cycling half a year ago..after i paused for like 7 years. Now im 30... i thought about doing some crit racing. is it too late to join? I'm currently training about 9-12 hours a week (Zwift, Commute, Outdoor). I started at 104kg back in November, now i'm at 80kg. My FTP is around 280/290watts. My Max Power output on Zwift was 1s ~1250w 5s ~1050, 15s ~ 900... havent tried the all out sprint outside yet... Will it be enough to join that late and have some fun in lower cats?

This makes you both stronger riders. In the first 2/3rds of the race mark him and only him. Only work 'with' him if chasing something back. If it's just the two of you off the front, don't pull ... frustrate him and let the group catch. Not a 'fun' type of racing. Might be mutual self destruction (what do I know, I have about 1% the race experience that you have).
