The problem is not in the clips but in the wrong removal. The tool is placed there at an angle of 45 °. This is an illustration of how not to do it.

Those clips are a bitch to put in, nearly broke my thumbs trying. For spares I emailed Hettich customer service, and they were kind enough to send me a pack of 10 at no cost. It even arrived in the mail within 2 days as well. Thanks for the video.
