Waterfall keyboards are for organists, and hammer action for pianists. Glad that Nord made both options. Thanks for the review.

By far the best quality sounds, most immediate, playable keyboards I own. I recently sold my real Rhodes MK-1 just because it wasn't being played at all. Actually, I might end up selling the Wurlitzer too; the Nord *really is* that good!

I originally sought a Nord Elektra 6 because I was impressed with their organ drawbars. Having owned a Hammond B-3 once upon a time, I wanted that ease of playing with the drawbars, rotary effects, and B-3 vibrato. But the soft keyboard did not impress me, and I went after the HD because I consider myself more a pianist than an organist. I am happier with these weighted keys. Thanks for confirming that I made the right decision.

Hello Kell Baley, thank you for your analysis of this keyboard. I have a Motif-6 that I use in my Church for everything. They have the Hammond B3 and a Grand Piano. I find myself using the Motif keyboard, for the entire service. Now that I'm ready to upgrade to the Nord Electro, you have helped me a lot, in making my decision. This will be mine and not the Churches, just like the Motif. May God bless you for your web page. I'm a new subscriber. Take care. Ronald Gass😊

I'm soon going to get a nord electro, I have a beginners Casio keyboard and the action is atrocious, I also have a 70s electric piano and the action is wayyyy too heavy, I'm not sure if I'm looking for a electro HP or a D for the action

Hi Kell I love this video man I love the way you play Are you familiar with the Nord piano5 73? I’m planing to buy a Nord and I’m having a hard time to choose between the Electro 6 73hp and Nord Piano5 73 What would you suggest me to do? Thanks 🙏
@KellBailey Жыл бұрын
The electro will have more pads,synths etc to my understanding. The piano 5 its geared more towards straight piano i believe. Keybed should feel the same. It just depends on what you will utilize more. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your review :) Q: Whats the diff. betw. nord piano and this 6PH when it comes to the feel of the keys? And do you fell limited by not having 88 keys? Thanks - and beautiful playing. I liked the chords @ 3:27 😊

Honest question, why did Nord put the buttons instead of actual drawbars? I'm guessing to make room for the keybed workings underneath?

@Kell Bailey, I am looking at NORD Boards. Yesterday, I was led to the Electro 6D. I am thinking more of this one 6HP because of the Piano Focus and the hammer keypad over the waterfall. Going back today so I can use the upcoming black Friday specials. I want a smaller, easier-to-pick-up and go and wondered how you and others feel about the 61 Keys over the 73 Keys?
@KellBailey2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I’m a huge fan of all the Nords with either Hammer pedal action or semi weighted. If it’s waterfall me personally I don’t like it for piano playing.

How would you compare the action of this Nord with the Roland that have the PHA-4 action (A-88, FA-08, the new Fantom-08, FP-30)? Or maybe you could compare this to the RD-2000 action feel?

I’m actually thinking of getting a Nord board it was between the stage or electro but decided to go for the Electro as I got a yamaha MODX so synth wise I can do that on the Yamaha but I need something specifically for like the piano sounds and portability and looked into the electros so I’m now stuck between 73 waterfall keys or the HP, I do play organ from time to time but I’m more of a piano guy but I have also heard that on their Hammer action keybed they intend to start very loud clacking sound that is the key springing back and hitting the chassis, have you experienced this? What would your suggestions be ?
@KellBailey2 жыл бұрын
Hey bro thanks for watching!!! I’m a huge fan of the HP action over the waterfall action. If your not going to be playing organ a lot me Personally I would go with the HP. The waterfall keybed in my opinion doesn’t work well for me playing piano. I dislike the feel.
