You could have simply end it in round 17, with just going 3 times with 0 power against Saxony. You lose no territories, they gain 9 points, but the difference is 20+

You are correct. I didn’t expect Sax to win the second combat because that would have forced him to lose on the factory. But I could have thrown 0 just in case.
