What rifle do you use, and what rifle do you suggest for a new hunter
@kristofferclausen

In this video I am using a Tikka T3. There are many good rifles for new hunters, Tikka, Saka, CZ, Browning, Savage, Remington and more. All of these are affordable and good rifles.

Great video Kristoffer! Really enjoyed watching it! One question though: why didn't you take a fishing rod with you? Are there no pike, perch or trout in those lakes?
@kristofferclausen
@kristofferclausen 2 жыл бұрын
There is pike and perch in most of the lakes. The reason is because these trips are about surviving on what you can hunt and gather, not from fishing.
@NaeFliesOnMe

@@kristofferclausen Ok, but if it's about surviving and gathering what you nature has to offer, I would have thought that catching a fish would still be part of a "wild harvest". But I suppose your channel is called "Nordic Wild Hunter"! Great video and stunning landscapes!

Best video. A question: Why didn't you shoot two birds that were just in front of you for food? ...before finding a beaver?

You should have roasted that tail while you were waiting for the meat to boil. That fat would have been awesome when you were that hungry. I heard once that our Canadian beavers are invading parts of Europe, because they’re bigger and more aggressive than European ones. Is that true? Are these Canadian ones?

I guess you don’t have any bears there? Your canoe would end up trashed after putting that meat on it.

@@MrKveite1 I’ve heard from someone who does videos from Finland, I think, who says that they are few, and shy of people. In Canada we have black bears that are like giant rats. You go out into any reasonable wild woods, and there’s sure to be a few. They can be very annoying, and occasionally dangerous. We have no Grizzly (brown bears) in my area. They’re more north and west. Anyway, those black bears can get into all kinds of stuff, wreck gear, chew stuff up, steal food etc..

@@jimf1964 yes our bears are still wild and stay in the woods since they have more than enough food and dont have to learn the 'human' trick.
@jimf1964

@@MrKveite1 Hey, I’m in Canada. They got plenty of everything here too. Just that they reproduce too much, and end up coming after people. Especially when there are too many tourists, or people who think they’re "cute", and feed them. There’s just too darn many in a lot of places. Some provinces have allowed fall, and spring hunts because of it. Same with deer. Some towns actually allow bow hunting within city limits, because they’re a danger, and a nuisance. Not on your neighbours lawn of course, but like commercial areas when the stores or businesses are closed.

@@jimf1964 yeah it's not the same here, we have roe, deer and moose in some towns and city's but normally bears, wolves, lynx and wolverines stay out in the wild and dont pose much of a threat normally.Last time someone was killed by a bear here in Norway was a 13 year old kid in 1906....

People who kill animals - those people live in anger and they die in fear, overwhelming fear, because they have done bad things in their lives by killing animals. Those people may deny it but it does not change anything. It is much better and easier to live an honest peaceful life with much less anger and fear, simply being able to say honestly to yourself that you did not kill living creatures.

У нас сезон охоты на бобра с 1 октября, по 28 февраля. Весной охота запрещена. Я так понял, что в данной местности бобры вредят хозяйственной деятельности, поэтому разрешена охота весной.
