Haha. I assembled mine yesterday and found this today. Story of life... My experience agrees well with yours. Decided on threshold delivery due to a high covid risk family member. Unboxed it on the front porch and carried pieces one by one to final location upstairs. All easy except for the flywheel :-). Went slow and careful on the build. Took about 2 hours. No problems. Have used it for a total of about an hour so far. Excellent. Super smooth and quiet. One thing I only figured out after the fact. The grease is to avoid corrosion on the bare bearing journals. You're not lubricating anything. All joints have sealed life-lubed ball bearings. So no point in applying more than a thin layer. More just makes a mess. I feel sorry for people who get jerked around by incompetent assemblers or shipping abuse. The quality of my unit seems excellent.

!!! IMPORTANT - PLS, READ THIS !!! 17mins in the video. My unit had the main base wire coming out from the the left hand side outside the base plate (not from the centre). Do the following to avoid crushing the control wire between the 2 base metal plates. 1-Guide the wire-tie through the slot on the left hand side of the upright pillar outside . 2-Bolt in the top arm to the base frame. The wire tire and control wire should now be sticking out of the machine on the left. 3-Tie the wire-tie to control wire. 4-Feed the control wire through the slot from the outside into the upright pillar. 5-Pull the wire tie from the top end to get the control wire to the top. Just a caveat to anyone considering this elliptical. We decided to purchase this exact elliptical trainer. Since I'm not mechanically inclined we paid for "white glove" delivery and also purchased an extended warranty. The unit was delivered and set up a week ago and it's been a disaster ever since. 1 - We didn't notice this until the crew left and I'm not even sure they were at fault but the hand controls for incline and resistance are not only on the opposing sides from the control panel, but the + and - buttons do the exact opposite as what they are intended. So if I want to increase the incline, I have to press the - (negative) button on the right side. If I want to increase the resistance (more below), I have to press the - button on the left side. 2 - I am an experienced gym goer for over 40 years and am in decent shape. However, even on level 1 resistance, it is extremely difficult to use this machine. There is clearly something wrong internally and I have seen more than one post online from people with the same problem. One guy even mentioned how his wife who runs triathalons has difficulty using it on level 1. 3 - On every revolution, there is a loud banging noise coming from what seems like the flywheel. I emailed support and all I got is a run around. First reply was "Let's get this taken care of! Please email videos of what is happening". ??? Okay done, uploaded to the cloud and reply from a different person is, "I can't open your links (BS), please post them to KZbin" ??? Okay fine, done. The next reply is a laundry list of this and that including how I should open the unit up, move wires around blah blah blah. I replied that the unit is not only under factory warranty but we paid almost $300 for an extended warranty and if they don't send someone out to address the issues, I'll return it and do a chargeback on my Amex card. LIterally 1 month later they finally refunded my money and set up a pick up for return only to tell me that I have to have the machine outside my house for pick up. The original crew literally had to put it together in a room downstairs in my house. It is too big to get out of the room with disassembling it which I have no idea where to start but oh, Nordictrack will gladly send someone out to do it for another $170. Seriously f this company.

The “white glove” delivery service is a damn joke. The monitor I have is not securely attached. It slides left and right easily along the front 2 handle bars and the covering plate is loose. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Hey Zeke first remove the rear console cover so that you can have access to see the console mounting screw( if you refer machine user's manual page no. 12 & 13 you can see what i mean. After removing the console cover check the screw tightness. Use Philips head screwdriver to tight it (avoid power tools) ( refer the page no 35 also for the exploded drawing) The key no or part no is 101, 35. Let me know if this worked for you.

Do you have any noise and vibration coming from either of the roller wheels that ride on the two black rails/tracks? Our brand new one has a faulty left wheel roller I think. The right one is smooth and quiet.

There’s no noise and it’s perfectly smooth on both side. Check the rollers whether it’s properly lubricated with grease.

Quick question, did you remove the plastic rings in the roller arm before installation?

Yes same question for me, not sure if I've to remove it, I removed and tried, it keeps moving. I'm mailing their support to see if we have to leave the plastic in which I dont know how it will survive the motions it is gonna take.

Hi, can you mount a tablet holder to the back of the screen?

Yes you can mount Tablet holder in this model. Behind the console you can see four screw slots to attach the holder. Hope this helps you

I purchased one of these directly from NordicTrack. Many of the parts were damaged and the quality of the product is terrible. Even though the unit is within the 30 day return window, customer service refused to even create a return ticket. I've had a NordicTrack treadmill and elliptical in the past. Both were excellent but I will never buy another product from them again. Customer service is terrible and the fit and finish doesn't meet historical standards for this brand. Buyers Beware!
