We’ve had this treadmill for a year and half now. It’s been great, however it’s hard to recommend. Already had to have the deck replaced twice due to it cracking. It’s a very cheaply made deck. When the technician came out to fix it, he even said they started using a thinner deck recently. When there’s no problems with the deck though, the treadmill is great and I can get my long runs in no problem.

First, not a bad review. However - the other thing about cost is that now you pay $40 or so a month for the iFit thing. So that now adds to the cost (about $475/yr). Lets face it, iFit is a gimmick. You yourself say that you set your pace and incline and go (and vary as you see fit). That what most do on a treadmill. I don't need Barbie or Ken rooting me on while I'm doing my workout. Also, I hope you don't ever have to call Nordictrack's customer service. Maybe you should try that as an experiment to get a replacement hand rail plastic part? What is the Warranty? I am always of the mind set - pay once cry once. I would have opted (and I have) for a more durable piece of equipment (in my case True Treadmill).
@Faq-ubeach3 жыл бұрын
I would like to add that to me, ifit isn't entirely a gimmick. Being able to run along with someone while they tour places around the world is pretty cool....to me atleast. That said, I understand where you're coming from. I have not decided if I will get a nordictrack or not, as I've read lots of terrible reviews. Both the terrible reviews on the quality and customer service have me pretty scared for as much as they cost. You mention how you got a true treadmill, could you make a recommendations in the $2k budget? *Edit, I also believe in your motto about buying quality. Durability is about the most important quality I'm looking for.

I am 6'3 190 and I like to jog and sometimes sprint would this treadmill and motor combo work well? 30min run everyday. Also keeping it upstairs so would like the keep squeaks to a minimum.
@brandon209043 жыл бұрын
It's actually pretty quiet. At low speed, it's very quiet and at speeds 5+ it is not bad. Not as loud as the peloton tread but of course you will hear the running sounds at high speeds. Overall it does pretty good with noise. No squeaks or deck noises when I land. Just the motor and belt which is pretty good for a treadmill. I feel like the 2450 might be slightly beefier for your height/weight combo. That one just has an upgraded motor and a larger touch screen. I am 5' 8" and 160lbs and it is pretty fine for me. At some times I do feel like a higher motor would be nicer on interval training (bringing up speed quickly). Otherwise, it is still great for the money. At your height and weight and if you plan on doing sprints I would highly opt for the commercial series at minimum, you will definitely notice the difference. If you have the money the 2450 will be a better model HOWEVER the 1750 will do fine if you want to save $500.

Casting and/or using the tablet in privilege mode "may" remove your warranty and that I did not purchase the software just the machine. I bought a 1750 in 2021. The machine is essentially useless at this point and out of warranty. I start a workout and usually 10-20 minutes in the machine starts acting haunted. It will slow right down then speed up then stop and speed up again. It will continue acting crazy until the end of the workout. I thought ifit was cool but it's not worth the horrible quality control and terrible customer service you'll get from Nordic Track. Buyer beware. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

I’m new to the world of treadmills because I’ve always run outdoors, but is there a brand at this price point that does a better job holding up to wear and tear? Or at least offers longer warranties?
