I have the 2022 Nordictrack 2450 treadmill...and after 5 months...mine has started to FULL STOP very suddenly in the middle of a run. It happens regularly. Usually, at high sprints, it goes black and turns off. Circuits in my house are fine, it's the circuit in the machine that throws. I've called a dozen times and they've given me as many "fixes" for it (dedicated circuit, lube, take the hood off, live video assessments, various speeds, various times of day, various temperatures, etc.). Nothing works. I showed them a video...now they want me to sign a release of liability before they'll send someone to come look at it. Like they're holding me hostage. Great treadmill if it works...terribly dangerous if it does what mine is doing. Still not fixed...5 months in...still paying it off...doesn't work...no support. So bummed.

Just ordered my 2450 treadmill, rates for 300lbs however I weigh a solid 260 and the belt skips a lot when I go higher than 3 speed. My wife is significantly lighter than me and has no problem. Just for you linebackers and linemen out there be careful. Hope this helps.

You might try tightening the belt a few notches and that should help with the skipping issue. Let me know if it helps.

Us too! We've been waiting for a Pro 9000 to arrive so we can test and review it, but currently we don't have a 2021 model in our studio. Hopefully this arrives soon and we can update the content.

Seems to me it’s the 1750 with higher horsepower motor and larger monitor for the extra cost. Another well detailed review as always by you though.

Yes - you still have all the same functionality without iFit, just fewer program options. It still includes Manual Mode, many pre-recorded workouts and Google Maps options you can run to. You just don't have access to the full iFit library.

You could use one of those or honestly you could just put a magnet there to make it work. We don't recommend that because it doesn't let you use a safety key to tether yourself, but it's a work around.

Are there also arrows for adjusting the speed or is it only the number buttons?

There are also arrows on the lower part of the console so you have multiple points of adjustment.

Hello! I am thinking about purchasing the 2450 and was curious about the free iFit membership for one year. Did you state that in this review or was it another one? Also, if I choose to no renew the iFit, how many and what type of pre-loaded programs can I choose from? Thank you, and I LOVE your reviews!!

Unfortunately, ICON recently reduced the length of the free trial from one year to one month. We are working on putting a banner on each of our videos to reflect this change. You have access to free programs and manual mode if you don't subscribe to iFit, you just can't access the full iFit library.

I would check out the Sole F85 and the Horizon 7.8 AT. They have tablet holders instead of touch screens with subscription programming and can handle this kind of use.

Thank you very much for your videos. Looking for a new purchase and feel like I have things narrowed down to Proform 2000, Proform 9000 and Nordictrack 2450. Leaning towards the Nordicktrack. I do mostly walking a light jogging but want to transition into running more. Have you reviewed the updated Proform 9000? Is it comparable to the 2450? Thanks!

We have a Pro 9000 coming soon so we will have a review up within the next few weeks. Of the three you listed, the 2450 is by far the best treadmill. The Pro 9000 has a nice large touchscreen, but functionally it's more on par with the 1750. The 2450 is also reduced on a current Black Friday Sale. We haven't seen it priced under $2000 before, so that's a really good deal. If you want a larger touchscreen, the Pro 9000 is a good option. But if you plan to get into running more, the 2450 has a much sturdier deck, better cushioning, and a larger motor.

@@TreadmillReviewGuru Thank you! Any words of advice on extended warranties? Seems like a good idea at first due to the motor, but when you look at Nordictrack warranty reviews on Amazon they are just abysmal. Makes me really second guess that’s for sure.

Great review. I'm stuck between the 2450 and 2950. We run marathon distances in our household and just tested out the 2450 in store. Not sure if the 2950 is worth the extra cost. You might have a discrepancy in your description for the details of the motor as it says 4.25 HP but in the video it says 4.00hp as well as Nordictracks website.

I bought the 2450. I picked it up brand new at $1,300 less than RRP (they were on sale with NordicTrack). However, I researched the 2450 and the 2950. From everything I researched, the only difference is a slightly larger motor 0.25HP more and the screen size (oh, and an additional fan). At $500 more on RRP than the 2450, I don't think it's worth paying considering the screen on the 2450 is big enough and unless you're a heavy/large person, the 0.25HP more won't be noticeable. The 2450 is superior to the Pro 9000. Functionally, the Pro 9000 is more on par with the NT 1750, only with a larger touchscreen.

6'1" 285, overweight and periodic knee pain. Would you get the Sole F85 or Nordic 2450?

The NT 2450 has more cushioning. The Sole F85 is not as cushioned but doesn't need a subscription. You'll probably be fine with either, but in your case with knee pain, the 2450 will be more comfortable.

Anyone knows if I mirror my phone or iPad on the screen? Is there a phone or iPad holder? What happens if I don’t use the iFit? If I don’t buy iFit then will the screen more or less useless? That screen module makes the treadmill pretty expensive, I suppose!

You can use the 2450 without the iFit app. iFit has a wide database of classes and training options, but you still have access to some classes, routes, and manual mode if you don't pay for iFit.

It's great...when it works. Damn thing cost me 2K. After 2 months from buying it, the base platform split down the middle. Nordictrack insisted I had to install the mailed replacement. Like changing a tire...OK. 1-2 hours later, I had it going again only to have it the same day shut off at random times, while running fast or slow. They mailed me a new motherboard to install. I insisted on a tech this time to do the labor. They say none are available, so it sits unused for 2 months. Nordictrack gives capitalism a bad name. I pray for your business downfall. I hate you Nordictrack!

We have differing input on that. On our newer machines, we've had a hard time getting them to access Admin mode. I think iFit is trying to eliminate this hack to force people to use the preloaded content and not access the internet. However, other users claim it works fine - even on new 2021 models. We can't guarantee it will work, so we'd recommend evaluating the machine as it is and then if the hack works, great, and if not, you still have a good treadmill.

The ifit is useless when the treadmill won't connect to the internet

Yes - you need wifi to use iFit. iFit content is all streamed (like Netflix) - it is not preloaded. If you have a poor internet connection (or no connection), iFit can't load content.
