Yay, I was right in my assumption - it's the regulator/rectifier, i.e. the easy one. I'm glad for you because of that, and because you didn't end up soaking under that thunderstorm.
@nemoltu Жыл бұрын
Yep, that’s correct 👍 Looks like the part is in Lithuania. I hope I will start my trip tomorrow morning 💪

That was a bit of a bummer, good luck with getting the rectifier. I was rooting for better luck and more sunshine for you. There is always a new day…

The part was sent yesterday from the factory yesterday and received it today. Still managed to get back to the starting point, where I was stranded yesterday. Tomorrow the journey is going to resume with thunderstorms and a 93 percent rain possibility :) But I will shine inside for sure- good to be back on the road- offroad :)

On trips i remove the fuses over night, i noticed that the pr7 is consuming battery while turned off. In your case the battery was discharged

Hi there, that was not a reason in my case. You can see that in part 10 of the series.

Did you change out the oil screens too? Was there much junk in the screens? I see at the end of the video it looks like you have the screens and the filter in your hand. I havent taken the case cover off yet to look. Hopefully on the next oil change I will. Thank you for the video. This is a great bike so far.
@nemoltu Жыл бұрын
Hey, John, I spoke to the AJP mechanic in the Netherlands and he said that the metal screen under the clutch side cover could be changed every 20K km, but I did change the screen on the gear shifter levers side. Actually, you can just wash it, it is so easy to get to it, only two bolts to undo. There were some shavings as you will see even in a later oil change if you gonna go through more videos. I love this bike :)

Nice to see yor're getting the bike fixed up! To bad about the weather, hopefully it's better tomorrow! Why do you change the tires so soon? Are the to knobley? Best of luck, and looking forward to next one :)
@nemoltu Жыл бұрын
The weather is so crazy now... I hope there are not many river crossings tomorrow :) or I will need a raft :D The tires. I wanna have something with better longevity. Cause It did not look like OEM would last for long. MotoZ Adventure should be a good choice, even wanted a different one on the front, but did not get.

I'm considering getting an AJP. Would you recommend buying an AJP after your experience with one? Thanks!
@nemoltu10 ай бұрын
Hi, Stefan, if in short- yes, I would definitely get one and would be happy with it. If you want a longer answer, it depends on where you live, how far from the dirt and forest roads, etc. It's not a bike for commuting and riding the tarmac. All the capability opens up when you hit the challenging roads. You can take a look at the video I've just published about some things I don't like about this bike, but that would never beat the fun part of the feelings you get from riding it- kzbin.info/www/bejne/fX6ThIl_drp_n5Ysi=HKYbetK75XEUl9SN

Can a kick start be installed as backup?
@nemoltu Жыл бұрын
I don't really think so. Unless someone is really mechanically skilled, that is not an option for the easy DIY project for sure.

Nevermind, forgot this is EFI. A portable booster will do.

What hell, with a brand new machine and this happens, even if you have had the break-in period. All well and good and exciting with a machine that is only produced in a small limited edition, but there is also a danger with that, the childhood diseases have not been discovered. Often the best machines are the last to be made before a new model. I simply hate such problems, and I have been a taxi owner, so I know how important durability is, but also the possibility of quick service and repair after things have happened.
@nemoltu Жыл бұрын
Well, can't blame the factory for this one... We put it together by ourselves, and somehow this negative clamp was not tightened enough. Mistake of the man. So please don't be harsh just wish good luck for me and for the motorcycle. The weather is getting crazy over here so luck is needed for sure :)
@protestagain Жыл бұрын
@@nemoltu Yes, I'm sure such things happen, one way or another, but ain't a pleasant way to start a long journey. Good luck, and as always, things happened and maybe it's best at the start of the journey.
