Quick tip. Do the ankle tightener first. It pushes your foot to the heel cup in the back of the shoes then you tighten the top so it locks your foot in place I have the same double zone for my snowboard boots

I have both Klim motto and sledding boots with the Boa dial lace system. Absolutely love them. After a day of riding they aren't loose or wet. I can put them on in about 4 seconds a boot, and take of in two. A super consistent tighten through from toe through tongue to ankle. Boa system are so nice I have them on my snowboard boots been using them for 18 years never had a single problem! They work just as good as the day I bought them. But I would want some type of replacement or repair kit if I was to use them on a major mountaineering expedition. I am not knocking them at all but if they were to fail for any number of reasons in the middle of nowhere in a different country, it would be hard to fix or replace them. Everyone can carry some extra laces but would think it would be hard to find a replacement Boa set on the side of a mountain. But that is just me.

This might be my morbid humor, but if one is climbing Mount Everest, then there'll be plenty of opportunity to scavenge parts for boots off of the frozen bodies of previous expeditions along the way. And they press it so your boots are completely custom for your own foot. I love them they have been nothing but awesome. I have the box they came in I want to say the a R32 but I am not 100 on it.
