It's so funny how some people mention the drumstick drop as if that was shameful. My question is WHY do they have 2 in their side punch??? I would think b/c it may drop or break so they carry a backup. In addition, THEY sounded and looked so good I wouldn't care if the stick FLEW into the stands! THAT WAS SOULFUL and we all know where the drums came from...i.e. the Mother Land along with all that base and rhythm they are playing which was mesmerizing.

A little sick of seeing thumbs down for something like this -- and being an older dude, I see a LOT of young people doing something positive, firstly, which is just totally cool. Secondly, being from a "drum corps/everything should be executed perfectly" perspective, I see this as a 100% awesome fusion of tradition AND a HUGE "raising the bar" from that traditional style to adding expectational excellence. I do not see what the heck there is to dislike about this at all. It is like these folks decided, "We shouldn't;t ditch tradition AT ALL but let's make it even better in THIS way". What's more---they ACHIEVED this and NAILED IT!
