What a special day in Pasadena! The Legion did its thing and the crowd loved it. Many were in awe. One woman near me had her mouth was wide open. The band was something to BEHOLD! Can't wait for the parade on Monday. And how about a hand for the many Spartans who showed up to support the band today.

This is the hardest march in all of HBCU BANDS!! NSU, NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY...MY MOTHER AND MOTHER INLAWS ALMA MATER!! ME, I went to Tuskegee, but this still better than anything I have seen.

That's not true. There are many unique and "pristine" sounds in HBCU culture. It depends on the event.

@joharirussom5003 I'm going to stick with "few". It's just my opinion. FAMU, BCU, NSU, PVAMU, and maybe a couple of others have some of the cleanest and most balanced sounds I've heard.

Norfolk State was Just INCREDIBLE!!!!.....The Audience did not know what hit them. I don't know another College Band that Musicality and Swag of Norfolk State. I hope your TV time will show how SPECIAL YOU really are on Monday at the Rose Parade!!!!!......I still feel your Strength and Swag!!!!.....GREAT JOB!!!!

Very Musical band period. Definitely one of the best sounding HBCU bands. Out of the large HBCU bands definitely the best sounding. Great musical arrangements. NSU definitely has some players. trumpets screaming and the tubas mastered that bass. I like Snoop Dogg and Dre and that music just like everyone else but this march was just impressive. Shows the musicality of the band and showmanship of the band. Something that needs to be shown. Anyone watching this would be impressed.

Their entire brass section and Drumline is DRUM CORPS QUALITY of musicality and marching precision. I wouldn’t be surprised if I see more and more from this band in future DCI corps. BEHOLD 💚💛

Pass and Review was very impressive especially the sonorities of the big block sound coupled with clear clean and concise fanfare style separation of lines. Interpretation of the opening selection was very appropriate. Great Job Band!

I was in the crowd. This was epic, top to bottom. You def delivered on this NSU and the crowd LOVED it!!!!!!! I only wish u wudve found a way to play this in the parade!!!! The paraders wudve went CRAZY!!! 🤣🤣💯🌹 But still loved everything about your performance, energy, n look in Pasadena. NSU is def a top-tier marching band with a unique style. Yep. The pass and review is a tradition that's about 40 years old. They do it before the start of every home football game. I remember this as a Teenager long ago. And still get goosebumps everytime. Love this University Tradition.
