Our Norfolk is the best dog ever!!! He is so sweet and loving, intelligent and easy to train. He is a rescue so I do not know about his first four years. He gets along great with our two cats, but loves to chase birds and squirrels. He can jump really high!!! Also he can latch onto a toy and stay locked on even if you lift him off the ground. You cannot leave any shoes out on the ground or he will sneak them away, he especially loves slippers.

Everything said in this video rings true to me. We bought our boy Ollie from Win Dancer kennel in MI. He's the perfect dog for our family. He's incredibly good with children and is never aggressive even when they step on him or make a lot of noise. His only vice is stealing/chewing-up socks which he hides under our beds.

Such a pleasure to see these beautiful Norfolks with their full-length tails. I'll never understand the dog show industry's obsession with shortened tails. Please let them be, Mother Nature gave them those tails for a reason!

Had one for 7 years until she died of cancer. It’s been 14 years since she died. I had a lot of memories with her. As of now, I’m quite busy with a lot of jobs so I can’t get any dog. I’ll sure get one again when I’m old and retired.

I think I saw one of these being walked in a park... it was a small orange-red terrier. I was instantly-drawn to it. My mom loves terriers, though I've never been as big of a fan of the stubborn breeds... though Norfolks look like they'd be wonderful to have around! I can't believe they're ranked so low on the AKC's list.

Norfolk and Norwich are both 10" at the shoulder. Too tiny to guard... except maybe guard his toy against the cat. Excellent WATCH dog though. Nothing get's by them. We had to wake up our Rottweiler and tell him there was a burgler in the back yard! Sound sleeper. Burgler lucky to get out alive.

"Toy" is a Group Catagory used in Judging Shows. They make the rules. "Toy" comes from when a Breed has been deliberately redused in size. Standard - Miniature - Toy Poodles for example. Standard Poodles were originally hunting dogs... a tiny Poodle is just that. A toy. No good for working. Norfolk Terriers are in the Terrier Group because.... they are true Terriers! Nothing to do with temperment or size. There are "Toys" that are larger and fistier than Norfolks.
