Its crazy how difficult it is to grow vegetables and fruits. Rlly makes u appreciate how anyone can go to a store and just buy it.

Yee farming is taken for granted. Thanks to covid, it really put into perspective how hard it is to produce it
@firsfnamelastname84902 жыл бұрын
Bigfarma did that. They sterilized the fruits and vegetables so that you cannot plant them again and need to buy their products.

by difficult do you mean insanely easy? you dont even have to do anything, they grow on their own

Regards from India. I once recieved some daughter plants from a friend who had a strawberry farm. I planted it in pots in my terrace garden. I planted it in sep-Oct n by feb they started flowering n gave me tiny strawberries. The joy of eating own grown strawberry was great !
That took a lot of patience - and when the birds started to eat your fruit : ( My strawberries (when they grow) are usually sour too.

So your strawberry is legit strawberry They are meant to be sour, not sweet The sweet ones we eat from store is actually full of pesticides and Chemicals that make it like that

Hi, please don't listen to Ronaldo Galactico's negative comment, there can be sweet strawberries found in nature, just most likely small. Sweetness in strawberries (this works for cherries and I'm sure other fruits too) is determined by how much glucose (sugar) is produced in the fruit. And strawberries (like every other vegetables) produces more glucose when there is more sunlight, through photosynthesis. You can research the GDD (growing degree days) for strawberries if you want. This is why strawberries are picked in summer, because they receive the most amount of sun for photosynthesis to input into the fruit. But, there are also other factors that strawberry farms take into account to make sure their fruits are sweet. One thing is that the strawberry patches are grown on a slope. This is for the purpose of water running down and away from the strawberries. You want the strawberries to have water but nit so much that it dilutes the fruit. And that's why strawberry and cherry farms are generally grown in hills. Lastly, when you provide the plants composted materials are very important. Strawberry plants have a life cycle, like everything else. They sprout, they get bigger, their plants grow leaves, they flower and finally they fruit. Of course you should give them nutrients throughout the cycle, but make sure the nutrients are most given when they are flowering and fruiting. Growth of plants are important but at the end of the day, you're growing strawberries for eating not decorations. Make sure they get the nutrients they need to make more flowers and more sugars for the fruit. So, tons of sunlight, not too much water (especially when they're fruiting) and nutrients. Focus on these three. Fertilisers (chemicals as the previous man said) can help, but it mostly focuses on increasing the plant size. What you want from your strawberries are sugar, and the plants themselves can make that, they just need enough sunlight and carbon dioxide (which is already in the air) for photosynthesis. I don't even know why the man brought up pesticides, cause that has nothing to do with it. Good luck! I'm sure you can find better advice than what I can offer but at least it's something. @@hennesseyx097 Thank you so much for your lovely reply : ) Everything you said makes sense. I do have a few strawberry plants in containers flowering right now and yes there are some varieties we can grow in summer but I believe it is a winter crop here because our summer's are so harsh here in S Australia : ( I'll keep on trying.

@@Asme1111-t8h Thanks. My husband does at the bass of our mandarin tree and we have had some wonderful fruit. Urine is a great fertilizer but I take meds well so does hubby so I'll have to find another donor : )
I've been using a pair of needle point tweezers I originally bought for precious metals processing to pick the seeds off of strawberries. Like the ones you are using, only straight. I like how you cut the skin off and roll the seeds off with your fingers. Brilliant 👏 Thanks for sharing 💛

What a whole year journey... Doesn't mean i love to wait, obviously i hate it... But when it comes to gardening, waiting is such a beautiful thing. When the plants shows good results, the dopamine significantly released and makes me happy... I do gardening in my smoll backyard...and i love it... Nice to see your channel bruh,...
