We love those proboxes here in Kenya. They are driven like land jets by madmen who transport perishable khat . I drove both (probox and succeed) for five years for work and still miss it because other drivers generally fear probox drivers.

Did a double take to make sure I was watching a Noriyaro video and not a Top Gear one at first, but the Probox looks like one of those stealth fighters, lightweight, upgradeable and practical enough that you can use it for shopping runs and still have fun while doing it. Ironically, Probox is the first car I saw when I arrived in Tokyo, Japan! Going out from the train station in Asakusa, there are couple of Proboxes parked outside the station entrance.

I daily a manual Echo (basically a 1st gen Vitz/Platz but mine is a 2 door coupe), with coilovers and 15" Kosei K1s it cleaned up well, and with stickier tires its fun as hell to beat on. The 1NZ is bulletproof too, mine has 250k miles and only burns oil, its never needed to be resealed. Highly recommend anything on that platform with a 1NZ, theres no way a PRO-SUCC could let you down as a parts getter!

You’re right, it was bad idea filming this 😅 I’ve been living in Japan for about half a year now and when I first started seeing these cars everywhere they were very reminiscent of my Volvo 940 back home. I also love Toyota, and I had an Acura 1.6EL which was a blast of an FF, so this seems like a naturally ideal car for me. I had no idea they had so much potential for speed though! I’m guessing these didn’t come in a manual though would need a swap. I’m driving a JA11 Jimny right now and loving it, goes great in the snow here in Niigata, but I can definitely see myself in one of these Succ-box… Pro-state… wagons one day. I’ll be here for 5 years, plenty of time to think it over! Sorry for the long comment. Love your channel, been watching for a few years. Would love to meet you one day and go drifting!

Pro-Succ... You made my day.... This could be a great sleeper, but then the exhaust has to get a more normal sound. Remember the Lancer EVOs stock exhaust? You didin't hear the 300 horses it has, but they were there. The Ultimate tune for the Probox would be the drivetrain from the 90s Impreza WRX. Imagine AWD in the Probox. But i guess it would be better to get a 98 Forester and lower it.

This sort of reminds me of that time Peugeot wanted to advertise the 806. They got parts from a 405 MI16, 306 maxi and the body of the 806 together to make the 806 procar. The result, the BIG M8 meme but with a literal MPV whilst the others was saloons. They were allowed due to the 405s chassis being a saloon.

Очень крепкая подвеска(сзади мост) позволяет не замечать неровностей, а в целом низкая цена позволяет не боятся вообще ничего. Такие машины очень любят доставщики, выездные ремонтники/мастера и прочие. 60.000 км проехал за год - можно продать и взять по свежее. Один такой продавали - запомнилось что целой осталась только крыша-был бит вкруг, но это ни разу не пугало - все детали дешевые.

This car is very common in Bangladesh too. Because, JDM reconditioned cars are available at auction houses. Although our import tax is starting from 80-300% based on the engine size.

We have something similar in Brasil, the good old Fiat Uno and Fiat Punto, the type of car that, when added a company's logo and a stair to the roof, can become faster than any other vehicle and defy the laws of physics. I have seen some internet technicians driving those and going as far as to follow ambulances up into the curb and sidewalk, doing tight curves and accelerating downhill.
