His point is that he doesn't care for talking about what's going on with the show, he just wants to see the whole thing. Which is consistent with his point about not wanting to have to think about or guess what the ending is.

3ternal dunno, he had two specials out when you commented, one of which wasn't terribly old and is one of the best hours of stand-up ever, and had a third special released a few months after your comment. he could do ten more probably and still wouldn't get the recognition he deserves. norm would disagree, but he does do smart comedy. not in the sense that he provides intelligent social commentary, but that much of it is subtle enough to sail right over dumb people's heads. it's a totally douchey thing to say, but it's true. have you ever tried telling a subtle joke like the 'this guy was a real jerk' joke to dumb people?

This is why we love Norm.
