The bit at the end about the devil taking off the mask and saying, "It's me, Bob!" has another layer - Norm sometimes told stories about his pal, Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker who also did ABC's Monday Night Baseball as the funny guy in the booth. One season of ABC's Monday Night Football, a guy in a gorilla suit kept appearing on camera at random times, and Howard Cosell would say in jest, looks like Uecker made it to the game. One time the gorilla took off its mask, and it was indeed Bob Uecker. Cosell was rendered speechless, for once.

This was an outstanding set by Norm. His delivery was already established, just a little more rushed than it was as he matured. I've never seen this full stand up, this was just great. His frequent rubbing of or touching his stomach is related to his very early bout with cancer. That self-soothing habit continued throughout his career, though more subtle. Great find. Glad to be able to laugh with you, Frank. You must miss Rondo. Let him know how many of us love him and wish him the best. That goes for you, too.
