I like seeing a game room with games people actually like and play, not games just to show off the huge quantity. good video.

Why would anyone show off and if they do then they can't call themselves gamers. Personally I would buy 2 copies of a game if I'm really interested in buying said game. For example I would buy a limited edition for collection and never open it lol and a normal copy for playing.

thank for the quality over quantity principle! There are so many game collectors out there having rooms full of games, but most of it just isn't good. I like collecting games, but I stick to games I want to play.

I have a smaller, pretty average Genesis/game gear collection...but it's MINE! That's what really matters, it doesn't just have to be about the value of the quantity or quality of your games, if it makes you happy that's truly the best kind of collecting.

It's a nice room, you collect what you like and not compulsively stuff shelves of "full set" made of crappy games just to show off how "big" your collection are. I respect that. Also your cat looks very cool :D.

You don' own a cat. They are not like Dog's, whom you can own. You throw a stick for a Dog it runs away picks up the stick and brings it back. You throw a stick for a cat. It will look at you, turn away and say " If you wanted the stick that bad. Why did you throw it away. I'm off to eat. "

I actually picked up a Virtual Boy CIB today. I'm a delivery guy for Sears and today I delivered a washing machine to an older gentleman who was a bit of a pack rat. I seen it sitting upright all by its self on top of a pile of books gleaming in light, lol! I of course asked him if he was interested in selling it and said sure! I got it for an amazing price! He sold it to me for $40!! I'm ecstatic! The only game it came with was Mario's Tennis.

This is very similar to my own room. I've got a modest collection of games, and a MAME arcade. I've found that as long as I have the original controllers and can use them with emulators, I'm pretty happy. It's silly to have shelves and shelves, trying to collect every game for a system, especially when so many of them are such terrible games.

I remember playing Mortal Kombat for Gameboy on road trips from East to West Texas. I thought it was awesome whenI was a kid, but mainly because we weren't allowed to play the Genesis or SNES version. My brother bought it without my parents knowing, so it was a fun little underground kind of thing. Awesome game room! I hope to start one up pretty soon myself.I love the artwork. I'll have to make some.

Yo, I've been watching a lot of your channel recently. As a fellow creator, I'm sure you read every comment like I do. Just wanted to say I appreciate the content. I like the tour you did on this video, some feedback: Fire up that Trinitron with a game! All the stuff you point out, if it's worth mentioning, do a close up of the Belmont figurine or a drop of footage when you mention a game (I personally love DooM64, it's a great installment). Hope this helps for future tour videos. Also, would love to colab on stuff if you're ever interested. I have a treasured library of SNES games. It's by far my fav old school console. Take care!
@totallyterrificpants62269 жыл бұрын
I have 120 Sega Genesis games. I went through it and am at 25 games now and in the process of selling the rest. I had so many games I don't care for so selling them. Even some rarer ones, kept one I actually like, the rest I'm selling and one went for $200 which is now going towards my vacation to Japan. I'm now using compilations to get my retro fix. I just want to play the games. I just don't care much anymore for bragging about rare carts. Also, some gamers on KZbin who I won't name, all they care about is hoarding and bragging about thousands of games they own. Rather have 50 good games I love than 50 I love and then 500 I don't care about on the side.
@LeeTong699 жыл бұрын
That's actually extremely justified.
@Hayden_O8 жыл бұрын
You make a great point, even though I thoroughly enjoy collecting myself, I do try to only get good games that I know I'll have fun with.

I digitally download everything now. Found I love games again now that I don't have that stigma of collecting. I do collect vinyl records but that's like 9 albums a year which I picked out, not just boxes of old vinyl from eBay. Thinking maybe in a few weeks, might get some Genesis games off Steam. :)
@BOutdoorsman6 жыл бұрын
Ditto. Back when I was younger, I had tons of games for just about every console under the sun! However, when one gets older, use of space becomes much more apparent. My collection is downsized by at least 90% now, with most of my games digital, but my favorites remain in physical form - it seems to be the best way to go to get the best of both worlds.
