The words in a song are damn near irrelevant to anyone besides the writer. The voice is just another instrument to be used as a tool to take nothing more than an idea or collection of ideas and make a piece of art(just like all forms of art). The words can carry a message, but who honestly cares? And I would always judge a pastor in every respect, especially since they think they hold some kind of moral imperative that they pull their thoughts out of a book written by sheep herders.

Good question, when you find out lmk. I was so blessed reading that NJ enjoys each listener having their own interpretation of their music.. The intro is awesome and relates to everyone(I hope lol).. But after listening for 1000x, I heard, "walk me through the land I stole..and help us to lay down", I immediately thought of a love song between Americans and God.. scripture being the sword from our heart(Hebrews 4:12), fire being carnality before our eyes(1 Corinthians 2:14), and "help us lay down" from Psalm 23, "The Lord is my Shepard.."...just my random perspective!! :) Interested in hearing others!!
