for the last sum, why didnt we flip the greater than sign and negative value into less than sign and positive value?

What if they asked to find out value of mean when X , sd and probality is given??

You can take the closest probability in the table which is 0.2514.

for the 1st example if the probability value is on the righ of the grapht , aren't we suppose to subtract it by one??

for this case, no. because I use table that reads P(X > r). it depends on the type of table that you use.
