Day 3 of Monterey Car Week and we check out the Concourso Italiano on Ocean Ave and holy cow what a turn out! We got to see Ferrari 288 GTO number 199 of 200. Not only that, we check out a Ferrari Enzo that was driven over 3,000 miles to come to car week! What a hero! Along with all of this, we see tons of other epic cars and of course meet lots of great people. This is what car week is all about.

i been to car week for three years in a row this the first time I missed it. and you captured the feeling I get everytime i go, the small suprised turn to the craziest memories that we never forget. I bet you till you die you will remember the enzo with the cracked windshield and bugs

Correction to the description, this was the ferrari owners club concours. Concourso Italiano won't happen until Aug 19th which is on a golf course. Seeing the 288 in person not roped off was shocking indeed. Even more amazing, there was a 2nd 288 also not roped off at the Broad Arrow auction which could be seen free during their preview days. That's how crazy Monterey Car Week is.

I had a dentist appointment in Monterey Monday and there were semis all over town loading cars! Mclarens were a dime a dozen with 2 franchises in the bay area! I saw more Mclarens that new corvettes.

OMG that 288 GTO is the exact same one I saw at the very last Canepa Cars and Coffee event. That was my first and only 288 GTO I've ever seen in person, and It's my favorite 80s ferrari. It's basically as old as me.

Renault Spider! I used to have one. It's the French Elise...made with a full aluminum frame by Renault Sport...the entity that used to make the Formula one V10...Factory was Diepe in France...where the old Alpines were made.

I saw the 288 GTO being unloaded in a near empty parking lot that morning in Seaside. It was in a single car, covered trailer. No one knew what it was other than "some old Ferrari" lol My dream Ferrari even way more than my Scud...

Went out for to see it in 2005ish which was a Ferrari year, I think there were 10 250 GTO’s that made it. I think I saw every Ferrari that I could think of. Best thing was I was just going to visit my parents who spent 6 weeks every year in Carmel and I did realize anything was going on there until I got on the plane to go.

In my experience, the 288 GTO, BB 512, and 308 Vetroresina tend to fly under the radar (I suspect they all look like a generic 308 to many people). But the 288 GTO, that is a real $$$ desirable car.

In front of the overload of Ferrari l will just correct the the Renault Spyder with a windshield unfortunately, a sauté vent would have been rad. Built in the old Alpine plant of Dieppe in the mid 90s … can be procured for for 60k euros in France all day long kinda … alright back to the Ferrari overload
