Normameter E2 analog multimeter 1965 test and teardown

someone forgot a pair of leaky duracell, lucky i came here just in time before the slime could damage it all, found a few overloaded resistors, this explain why it measure a little bit off, and was thrown out.

I use auto generated subs, I go through them myself, but i am far from perfect at finding all errors, so if you find errors worth fixing, please comment (or PM) with the TIME in the video you saw the error, i will be happy to fix it. This also applies to the Danish version.

Lovely old meter, my first one I learned measuring with was my dads trusty Normatest 1811 back in the 70's

There was a DDR-made “copy” of a similar Normameter model. It looked strikingly similar to this one. I’m not sure if the internals were the same, but the case certainly was - poorer tolerances of course.

I think there should also be an Iskra copy but I guess they licenced it. They did a whole lot of licencing, the French scopes they made are pretty good, very light compared to Soviet scopes of the era.

If you caught the analog multimeter virus: Always worth paying attention to AEG devices at markets, they made some with meter movements specified at 1% or better (and they are sometimes in spec, too).
