This guy is so kickass, he taught our music note reading class at GIT, MI music school. He was so cool and kicked back, great teacher too, he put up with our goofy jokes etc.. He was so great then too he was like 26 years old then, he was a major player already then.

@michaelcraig94492 жыл бұрын
He does not always play relaxed like this.. Sometimes in concert he really burns it up, gets people standing up on their feet.. Not so many Jazz guitarists can do that, get a rock crowd reaction.

Thank's for this Post! Norman is Guitar Gold! Years ago, in December 1996, I drove out of Norfolk, VA and headed back home to Wyandotte County and KCK: My Hometown, and Mr. Brown's Hometown. I LOVE Better Days Ahead!!It was a few months out and up the Smooth Jazz Charts quickly! I listened to that particular cut ALOT, and just as I hit I-70 East into Missouri, MY CASSETTE BROKE!!! 😮 😥 I was completely DEVASTATED and started to cry. I saw that as a SIGN that I would NOT have Better Days Ahead, but just the opposite. I have never stopped groovin' to Norman, but sometimes BDH makes me cry, when I think about that night! And look at Norman now! 🎸🏆 I've had some Good Days AND some bad ones, but like the the Williams Brothers say... I'm still here! Much Love to My Wyandotte County, Kansas City, KS Guitar Heroes: Norman Brown, Julian Vaughn and Carl Roland! Talent Times Three! 🎸💜

Norman was an awesome Musicians’ Institute instructor (G.I.T. in Hollywood Ca.) when I was a student there.I still remember how encouraging and complementary he was to me when he and I played a real book jazz tune in front of the class.Everybody liked and respected Norman and his abilities there. I became a Guitar instructor at M.I. after graduating there. I still remember Norman congratulating me on that too. I hope that he is still blessing people with his encouragement,tremendous playing and teaching abilities! Mark Caviness (Nashville Tn.)

Exquisite playing. Norman Brown has continued the tradition of excellent contemporary jazz with a modern groove, and he has developed his own distinctive voice along the way.
