it didnt "get better" in a gradual sense, Season 9 was the introduction to Angela Kang as showrunner, that was what changed, Scott Gimple is a blundering dumbass and he almost ran the show into the ground, Season 5 through 8 were the worst, there were good moments obviously, but they were fewish and far inbetween honestly the show hasnt been GREAT since Season 1 when Darabont got unfairly booted, but Kang is really doing wonders for the show

She also has been into singing the entire time she was on the show so neither of that mattered as far as her leaving the show. It wasn't her choice, just like many other deaths on the show it was just what the writers wanted for the story. I do agree though, that with Carl dead, and Maggie gone Enid's story was severely affected. They really didn't know what to do with her so they just tossed her in a relationship with Alden. Carl being dead actually fucks up a lot of story. Most importantly, it completely fucked up and ruined Rick's story. It essentially destroyed his purpose of survival and ended his story.

Can I be honest? I have loved every season of the Walking Dead. The actors in this show are the only reason the show is still breathing, well, at least, they were the only reason it was breathing from Season 2-Season 8, Kang is doing a wonderful job Scott Gimple is a blundering idiot, his way of choosing deaths werent for the benefit of the plot, it was shock factor, there have obviously been some iconic moments in the series in the seasons between 1 and 9, but overall the plots were confusing at times, and some (many) choices just MADE NO SENSE some of the dumbest decisions have happened more recently, the death of Noah was STUPID, they set him up to be an architect then the next episode kill him, MAKES SENSE, well, maybe Noahs death will severely impact Glenn for years to come, maybe he'll become more hardened by this experience, NOPE, he dies the next season! Oh, lets kill Glenn, but not REALLY kill him, we'll bring him back, then kill him again a few episodes later, GENIUS, and just to *SHOCK THE AUDIENCE* we'll also kill ANOTHER ONE OF OUR MOST COMPELLING CHARACTERS, whos comic death we gave to a WAY LESS IMPORTANT CHARACTER, just to off him (abraham) in a way that will complere shadow his death like seriously, Glenn had been in the show since Season 1, its just disrespectful to Abraham to kill him in the same scene that a S1 vet was killed in, Glenn will steal the show and Abraham will be soon forgotten, it was just fuckin disrespectful to the funniest fuckin chaeacter we had gotten yet! FUCK SCOTT GIMPLE not to mention his treatment of Carl, WTF IS THAT, Carl was a bloodthirsty lunatic (almost), then in his last 2 episodes he turns into a humanitarian? what a fucking DISGRACE TO THE CHARACTER Kang actually seems to understand how these character work, and i am SO EXCITED to finally have a showrunner that seems to KNOW WTF SHES DOING!! Season 9 has been the best in YEARS, hope it keeps that trend

His death made no sense. We all loved Beth but what was the point of her death? She didn't even kill that police woman. You can't even say that she saved Noah as he was killed off a few episodes later.
