We have decided to go Lithium Ion and the first job is to replace our hot water service.

We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.

Hi Norm, nothing like watching someone else doing maintenance. :) Yes a good supply of Bundy is a must, personally, I love my Distillers #3 but sadly it is very hard to find. Thanks for sharing and looking forward as usual to your next adventure.

when onboard the original HMAS Melbourne, we were limited to 3 minute showers, ( water usage) never a problem so understand that 15 litres is plenty :)

Yeah dude. Long hot showers are for the marina.

You need to keep more rum onboard....... just in case there is a big storm and you have to stay in a unfamiliar anchorage 👍

Yeah dude, checked that. It is storage. Would like instantaneous but they draw too many Kw for the inverter.

I totally understand that you and partner are not big water uses when offshore. On average, how much fresh water on litres; do the two of you use per day?

I reckon we only use about 20lts per day dude.

Norm, did you consider dc heater and bypass 240volt inverter?

No I didn’t dude. Maybe I should have. Would be a pretty big current draw at 12v I’d expect.

Norm you are a legend.Tough as old boots. Don't know if filming yourself lifting that heater out then having a stroke would have improved the u tube ratings though.
