It's amazing - pre 82 there were but a small handful of museums in Normandy, post 84 and since then... they are all over the place ! The one across from la Cambe had a superb collection and, but, if one looked closely everything carried a price tag, from bullet to helmet to jeep, all to be seen was, in fact, for sale, and whh not ¿? My question is this: Where does all this equipment come from that seems easy enough to find when opening yet another beaches 'musee' ' ? Happen there was a savvy geeza with a hidden warehouse who stocked up at wars end.

A lot is in the hands of private collections. I known some of these people that have a collection that can be used to fill a museum, but they keep it private. So from time to time you see a new museum comming, with items that you don't know from where they come, but it can be the owners collection, or a bought collection from a person who stops collectioning, also a lot of military fairs are happening each month in France, Belgium Netherlands and England, still lots and lots of items for sale. And yes it is expensive. A personal note, I already see some museums who display some reproduction items, because they don't have the real one or it is too expensive to buy. For the standard visitor that won't matter, but if you know somethig about it, you will notice the difference. PS, thanks for watching, and feel free to subscribe. Happy holidays
