@@lollipopluxury293 The best to do it all use pre-recorded vocals. Janet Jackson is one of if not the greatest performer of all time and we understand she uses them too. Janet, like Normani, can sing live when she chooses to. Beyoncé is no different. Michael has lipped more frequently with live ad libs once he got to the Dangerous Tour. Normani’s pre-recorded vocals could be more live-sounding to add to the fantasy but it’s not as a big a deal as folks make it. She performed it live in a higher key for uer Don Julio event. Sounded great. My only issue is when I can tell. The best strategy would be to make it more believable. She did mess up the lyrics at one point when she repeated “we can’t just keep talking about it” and you could hear the background vocalists say “we can’t just be cautious about it.” This either suggest she did sing parts live or this was done on purpose.

I’m wondering if they intentionally booked Normani, last minute, to stir controversy over the VMAS. And to hope that Normani, having so little time, wouldn’t be able to put together a good performance. If you notice, Normani didn’t the VMAS technical and production assistance like the other artist. No smoke, no coming down from the ceiling, and no specific set . So little assistance that we could see the wire of her team pulling her across the floor. That’s why Mani put all her effort into her team of dancers and the wow factor Teyana Taylor on the cross.
