I will always be glad I purchased the guitar on the left, being played by Frank Stallone ,,, especially now that the prices on Reverb have tripled what I payed Norm and Mark Agnise. The Bonamassa Flying V has become collectible. Something told me there was something special about what was happening on the couch that day. Thank you Mark for signing and dating the back of the head stock before you shipped the guitar 🎸. I have been offered $5,000.00 for this guitar so far ,when I prove the details, and this KZbin video should live for ever!!!

Wow I was born in oakland in 1956 grew up in the bay area now 62 and I too remember going to Ghiradelli square when I was young and that made me think of the human jukebox saw him there too, thought it was perfect for Mark , small world my guitar friend snappytoetapper6, see round the circuit of guitar lovers and have a great birthday !

We had to have been at some of the same shows ,great Robin Trower story, I have done the same thing there is a lot of those shows on youtube , I moved to Denver metro area in the mid 80s the U2 red rocks amphitheater show Bono with flag , I was there great show .My wife and I think guitars are works of art have six of them hanging in the living room among her antique clocks and pictures , and 3 case queens in my bedroom I take out once in awhile on sunday I play a few chords on them and wipe them off with a smooth cloth and put away .still play everyday but the the RA and tendonitis has taken its toll but I still have fun .Say hello to Mark and Jen for me when you get down there. p.s. sorry about your friend .

@Frank Stallone Great God was a great group! I lived in Philadelpia in 1972-73 when jazz rock fusion was a reining form of music (if you were into that sort of thing, which I was). I still own that Great God album, which back then I tracked as much as I did Mahavishu Orchestra with John McLaughlin. Long live electric guitar jazz rock fusion!

This Epiphone is suppose to be made of Korina, yet I can't recall seeing a new Gibson V made of Korina, usually they are mahogany. Alarm bells start ringing for me when I make these observations. Sure, it might be a good guitar but I just have reservations about it be Korina. I wished they didn't play with so much reverb, it sounded too wet and I thought Albert King played pretty clean, I could be wrong but I thought he used an Acoustic amp.

Mark70609 when the original Flying V and Explorer were made in the 50s they were all korina just like that. There was also the Futura but that's so mythical no one really knows. They were reissued in the 80s when metal guys started using them. And they've been reissued multiple times since. This is a signature guitar designed to be like Joe's V that he calls Amos. Which is what they video is explaining. Korina is the wood most reissue V's, Explorer's and Futura's are made from.
