These days the one pushing Zemaitis brand to recognition the most is Miku Kobato, with her signature guitar (Flappy Pigeon). Made me want to have one.

I was Tony's parish priest in Chatham, Kent and conducted his funeral. Postscript to the story about the plane Tony built. Eventually, he did get it out of the garage where he built it. The studio (subsequently transported intact to Japan, where it is housed in a museum dedicated to him) behind the garage where he made guitars was far too small to store the plane, by the way. Tony wanted to see if it would fly and was given permission to try it out in someone's field. Suffice to say, it flew briefly, but I believe he was caught by the aeronautic authority as it was picked up on radar. He had to sweat for a while with the fear of prosecution, but it came to nothing.. I don't know what happened to it after that. A lovely, generous man, whose guitars were indeed art with strings.

Yes, Duralumin metal. At least it was on the original MIJ Greco Zemaitis licensed models. The models at at Norms are the Gen 2, which probably don't use the original specs as the old one's. So they may not be Duralumin.
