Hey Norovo, how did you get good at HOMM3? I've been playing lots recently within the last year, and I've always been searching for guides on how to get as good as lots of the eastern European players. However, nothing seems to be available in English if at all. is there a website or a guide that you've followed? or is it all from just playing lots?

Tbh I doubt I'd be considered good by those kinds of players, having never seriously tried pvp, but I learned a lot through watching other English speaking HoMM3 players like AbsoluteZero and MeKick (TheKnownWorld) and the rest is practice I guess. The Heroes 3 Wiki (thelazy) is an excellent resource, has all the details you could need. Might make a few guides myself one day but they'll be casual-level.

Love the series. At 18:03 I would have purchased the lookout tower personally to see if there are any enemy heroes lurking. Other than that it's really humbling to see a much better player than me playing this game even though I played it for years as a kid and thought I knew everything. I'd like to try this challenge myself too.

Hey Norovo, what edition or expansion of Heroes 3 is this? So good to have the sequence running on the bottom of the screen. Is it a plug-in or a feature in the original game

Search for Heroes 3 HD mod. Not to be confused with Heroes 3 HD edition which has to bought (don't get it, it's only Restoration of Erathia. Ubisoft really cheaped out on that one). The community-made HD mod is much better and works with all versions (though there's conflicts with WoG)

If you didn't want to risk the one-way portal, why not just go around the other side? Yes, it's one extra turn, but the extra stats on your VLs that NEED to be able to deal loads of damage to stay alive would be well worth it.

i know im late for this show. but i got a few questions about this run that made it really tough to get through. 1. When you talked about going for the "Greater gnoll flail" why didn't you just go around instead of debating about taking the one-way portal?. 2. Why on earth did you surrender a 100% win battle?. You said you were afraid he might use magic, but if that's the case, he would had done it on the auto battle and you would had lost in that case, knowing he would use magic, yet you surrendered anyway when it was a 100% win?. 3. Instead of wasting time on a stuck hero, wouldn't it just be more beneficial to just attack the town and see what happened?. he didn't have a castle in the town, or else it would had looked differently, and you dont get a champion in a town unless you hired on and put him in there. i am pretty sure there was no real risk taking that battle. 4. You keep saying you need resources, yet you continually keep skipping ressource sites.. why?. hope you will respond :) Other than that, great vids!. i subbed for more to come :)

1. Movement is very precious on the main hero. As nice as the flail was, that meant about 2 ? 3 ? turns just for that. Which might be the difference between caching another player and defeating him, or the other player making another week's worth of units or getting better units (cough arch devils cough) and winning 2. If I'm not mistaken, on auto-battle spells are not used. 3. Are you speaking about Jabarkas ? In that case, he couldn't have surrendered and would have lost the vampire. It was not worth it (nothing to find out) 4. No idea why he keeps skipping resources! In the early game all of them are important, since whatever you don't need can be traded away for the ones you do need. And there's still expensive stuff to get/build like mage guild level 5, artifact merchants, castle gate. And surrendering.

@@Winnetou17 2nd point - it's possible to turn on spells (at least in HoTa mode but I see he have it) and during quick combat i think only your hero doens't use spells not the enemy one I hope

@@Winnetou17 - It was 1-2 extra turns at MOST to go for the Greater Gnoll Flail (Compared to using the one-way). The early power of the extra stats would be worth it in conserving animate dead casts.

Scouting is such an underrated skill especially in subterranean. It allows you to see the adjacent tunnels without being in the tunnels. Also, when taking a tower town you should build a lookout tower as the first thing. It immediately lets you see a huge chunk of the map and you can very easily find the nearby enemy heroes.

yeah notice its useful on RMG as you never really know where you need to go or when a utopia will appear.

It doesn't seem like you loaded at all(though that can be easily hidden/cut out). That's probably why you were so careful with your actions all the time. If that's true, I tip my hat to you, sir.

It's Shadow od Death (final official expansion) with HD mod. Avoid HD edition that was released by Ubisoft, it looks worse and is base game only, no expansions.

hey love your heroes 3 videos can you do a tutorial about the shortcuts (like splitting units) that you are using and if your game is moded how did you install mods i bought the game on steam and some of the thing is not like yours. like when you engage in a combat its shows you the results and if you dont like it you can try yourself i couldnt find that setting .(i am sorry if my english is bad)

The steam version is Heroes of Might and Magic 3 HD, which is HoMM3: Restoration of Erathia ONLY. To get the version he is playing you need the one from GOG, that comes with the shadow of death and armageddon's blade expansions (HoMM3 complete) and install the free fan expansion Horn of the Abyss and the HD Mod Edit: He actually isn't using the Horn of the Abyss expansion just the HD Mod

I should probably make a hotkey video, but then again I'm always forgetting some of them... but here's the key info: sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/eng/description/extended-ui#QAM - it's the HD mod for Heroes 3 Complete. As mentioned, it doesn't work with Heroes 3 HD Edition for Steam unfortunately.

Also if I'm not mistaking you have to activate the HD+ check box in the HD Mod
