All teams have this. They are allowed to flex 15 mm vertically when load is applied on both sides.

Thats with static loads. The deflection on Mclaren has more than that amount. No other team have wings that flex this much. FIA currently doesnt have the tests in place to enforce this with dynamic loads.

@@askeladden450 We actually don't know if McLaren has more than that amount, it's not something we can see without data, that's why FIA is not doing anything, because there isn't anything to be checked. Dymanic loads makes things even harder to be seen without real data.

There is something wrong, which is a violation of the FIA rule regarding moveable aero. If natural forces are no excuse for the other teams, then they're no excuse for McLaren and Mercedes. Yes, when under load, some materials/objects flex/deflect, that is a naturally occurring physical phenomenon. Yet somehow Red Bull and Ferrari have designed cars with far less front-wing flex when under load, under the exact same conditions. McLaren and Mercedes need to make their wing elements stiffer in order comply with existing rules/regulations.

Funny how when teams with British drivers have flexing wings, it’s totally ok and good engineering, but like in 2021 when red bull’s wings passed every test, Mercedes had the fia make Red Bull change their design. Funny how that works

There's nothing natural about it, in fact ferrari in that weekend had the same onboard shot but their fw is absolutely rock solid, no bendy stuff like the macca does. 2026 just can't come soon enough with this moveable aero.

@@abiesdewet6910: So did Ferrari's engine in 2019 and Red Bull's wing in 2021, yet the FIA implemented rule clarifications in both cases. Just because something passes scrutineering does not mean it satisfies the spirit of the rule, and scrutineering methods can be changed. So it's very much not the end of the story, and the FIA has indicated they'll continue to evaluate this heading in 2025.
