Had a Bylgja since they first came out. Not expensive , Diolen on the chines , very light , very stable fairly quick.Very easy to get in and out of. I tore the bottom of mine out on its second outing when a freak wave took me across some sharp rocks. I had it repaired and the cockpit area reinforced. It' s my "go to" boat in rough deep water

Good review, clearly quality control is far below standards. There's far better options in the price range.

I have the bylgja for two years and have no problem with decks of hatches. Absolutely dry hatches inside, doesnt mater if I paddle on the rought sea...

I have a P&H Virgo and its got hard chines and a high rocker, highly manoeuvrable but tracks well with the skeg down

The Valley Anas Acuta must be THE original highly rockered hard chined boat, used to paddle one many years ago before I moved on to a Nordkapp. Now sold that but getting a new AA for next year🙂. (Currently paddling an Avocet.)

@@kayakcountry I've yet to see an Anus Acuta in it's more recent configuration (e.g. keyhole cockpit and what the seat (height) is like. Any chance of a quick overview video, followed by a more extensive video of how you find it, warts and all! Thanks in anticipation😊

@@petercairns8030 I'm hoping for a proper trip in it next week, so I'll try to do some kind of review then. The cockpit could be quite tight for some, it fits me just fine, seat position seems normal/same as 'usual' to me. Just a few day trips so far, lovely boat...

My wife's Idun is mint. Zero issues, fantastic kayak.

Lars messed up caulking that in. Maybe they didn't drill a vent hole in the front bulkhead. And Sri Lanka? They are not made in Norway?

that's why they are cheap

Sir, I have a Bylgia. The skeg cannot be 100% retracted into the belly. Is that a problem?
@kayakcountry4 ай бұрын
Well it might be, depends how much it sticks out. A small amount should be OK

@@kayakcountry I dissembled the the pull cover and found by design the skeg could not be 100% retracted.
