I'm from Southeast Asia and I have fascination with Norse Paganism as a way to get away from dogmas and find more meaning and connections as I make my way in life. I have interest in Norse mythos and Scandinavia from the heavy metal bands I listened to, which likely influenced me. Skal to fellow pagans, wherever you are.

Christianity will not save us from the coming struggle but Germanic/Norse Paganism can save us.👍🏼

Ha! You cracked me up at the beginning! I literally snorted! :) Great little video sum up of what Norse Pagans believe. I shared on my community page. ❤

Appreciate your honesty that pagans are reconstructing their religion
@Peanut_Arbuckle692 ай бұрын
I guess every religion is in some way being reconstructed, the Christianity of today is completely different from Christianity a few hundred years ago

Long time viewer here, just want a little update on the fellowship of northern traditions land and land for the building of the hall, been wondering this for a while and it remains a mystery to me, I’d love to donate to it
@DrunkenBigfootStudio2 ай бұрын
The GoFundMe is still raising money, it's at $25,000 of a $150,000 goal right now. We've raised a lot but still not enough to get a significant plot of land or build the hall. FoNT raises other ways too, like merch and self-publishing books. The second community book will be out soon! The hall is still our major goal.

Hey Man in the Tree, do you distinguish much in the names of the Gods, as in Odin vs Wotan vs Woden? Personally I don’t get hung up on it but I’d be interested in your opinion .
@Jtbrahh2 ай бұрын
Personally I don't put too much worry on names. I use them occasionally but typically when I'm making an offering I refer to them with kennings or epithets, poetic titles that describe the deity's actions or nature. Things like Allfather, Thunderer, Lady of the Dawn, Knower of Fates, etc. I see no reason you can't create your own kennings as long as they're true to the nature and known mythology of that god.

As a christian (and ex-pagan) I would like to visit your gatherings once, just to see the modern community, and experience what these traditions felt like. Also, in what countr(ies) did you film this video?
@john20142 ай бұрын
My first experience was life altering. The open dialog along with the rituals was delightful. I was a speculative believer until the Yul event. Being in the presence of the Odin, Frigg, Njord, and more made me a full believer. I would recommend attending an event.

We are a very open and loving group. We do not tell Christians to stay away :) As long as you are respectable, and are not on a crusade to convert us, I think you will find us to be a very friendly group who are happy to answer questions. Are you in the USA or Europe? We have gatherings all over the USA and Europe!

How do I connect to my ancestors of old when a lot of them were heavy in the church a lot were Preachers won't that upset them
@andries40612 ай бұрын
For me it is about honoring your ancestors. My ancestors were Calvinist, before that Roman Catholics and before that Germanic pagans. You can still honor peoples with different believes than you. By the way, I am an atheist, but I love history and my traditions. I think it is wonderful that there are people who still worship the ancient gods and I would hate it to see any tradition die out.
@Khalidibnal-Walid-v3f2 ай бұрын
you do that, by becoming Christian, like your ancestors were. In that way you honor them
