I'm liking this! Nice editing, drone shots and soundtrack that doesn't overwhelm the story. You two have more balls than I would have. Well, one of you has more balls, the other more ovaries? You know what I mean. I would hate that soft sand, so props to both of you. Keep on keepin on!

You guys are awesome. Reminds me of how I use to travel, now I ride an R1250gs (unnecessary) and all I want is a smaller bike and adventures like this 👌

Thanks! You can always sell the GS, buy a cheap Honda and spend the rest on tacos.

Lovely footage. Quick FYI on the lovely cactus expedition you recorded: The average life span of a saguaro is 150-175 years of age and branches don't normally begin to appear until it reaches 50-70 years of age. In areas of lower precipitation, it may take up to 100 years before arms appear. However, biologists believe that some plants may live over 200 years.

Thanks for the info! The fella we paid to get into the valley of the giants said they were “6000 years old.” He also said he’d never actually gone down the road from the gate to look at them…so I’m not inclined to believe him…

What’s the difference? lol. 6 out of 8 were KTM’s. The other guy not riding a KTM or AT was on a KLR and he seemed like he was having a grand ol’ time.

Great journey you two! Awesome videography especially considering the fact that you are doing this while on the road. BTW more than one cactus are cacti, not cactususssss...LOL!!! Can't wait for the next chapter. Stay safe out there!

Great video! You guys capture the not-so-fun challenges really well. I'm planning a solo northern baja loop in a few weeks on a larger Norden 901 and want to avoid a few of the sections you guys struggled with (climb near Mikes and crazy sand section). Would love to see your tracks. Thanks!

We found a lot of our routes by using the “public tracks” feature on Gaia. Most of them happen to be the Baja1000 tracks. The west coast south of Coyote Cals is great and we were told the tracks north of it are great too. The worst sand sections were directly south of Bahia de Los Angeles on the east coast. Have fun! Baja is stellar.

You can see the typical bad shocks on those bikes. I would have spent the $1,700 and got the shocks upgraded. That is the biggest problem with the CRF300L. As soon as I bought my bike I took the shocks off and had them modified. Same with the rear shock. Those stock shocks suck.

I really don’t like being negative, but maybe someone can answer…WHY are they on CRF300s?? The beta male looks like 7 ft tall! Lol! Bless their hearts.

I (Josh) have the rally raid shocks front and rear. Wendy’s bike is stock.

Why not crf300s? They are inexpensive, reliable and fairly light weight. All great qualities for long term travel bikes. Especially on a trip with a lot of dirt riding. We aren’t riding the highways much so no need for a 1200. And we aren’t riding black diamond single track so no need for an enduro bike.
