North Bay Bassmasters Tournament - Lake Talon 2024

Fishing Lake Talon with the North Bay Bassmasters for the first event of the 2024 tournament season.
May 26th was the event date and in the draw I drew solo boater as the numbers were uneven at the draw time. This was a great way to really test myself against some incredible anglers.
The day was full of ups and downs and I was going all in culling fish until the very last seconds before I had to rip over for the weigh ins.
The biggest bag of smallmouth I’ve ever seen caught in Talon was weighed in at 20.20lbs, unfortunately not by me but congrats to Steve and Richard B on an incredible event.
2nd place is nothing to be disappointed with coming through with 16.88lbs of smallmouth. Which on its own tops any weight I’ve had on the lake so no complains at all. This event is always a fun one as in 2022 I finished 1st place with Steve, in 2023 I finished 3rd place with Steve and 2nd place this year.

I saw a few in some of the bays actually! Had one try to hit my lure beside the boat when I was reeling it back. The launch is pretty rough, not much worse but definitely no better haha! Thanks for checking out the video.

I'm considering downsizing from my bowrider (115hp) to get a 15 Legend like yours. Most are being sold with the 50hp. Could you tell me about what speeds can you get with the 25 Merc? Thank you

@@andreib7107 honestly I can’t recall what my top end was on my older boat. Since I’ve moved to the 16’6” with the 90 now but if I’m not way off I believe I was getting about 22mph at the high end of things
