Karl, you have incredible scenic views to video, but I must say, your video production is out of this world... much like the views of the Hanksville/Cainesville area can provide.

This is amazing, love the fact that there were cool slots and contours very near the summit, not just a flat mesa! Epic drone work Karl ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✔️

Awesome! This has been on my list for the past year. The drone shots show how special the route is to the point. I've heard the south mesa has a trail, too. But maybe not as worn or epic. Maybe I saw it on trail forks or all trails.

There is a south Mesa trail and it supposed to be cool! It’s on Road trip Ryan’s website. The one thing is a wade through the Fremont river to get started and it would be freezing right now. I’m excited to do it this fall.

I visited north caineville Mesa in May 2022. Amazing how the route never exceeds class 3. I crawled between the boulders instead of over them. Your drone footage of the shale hills with snow was amazing! I learned of this hike from Tristan of SUV RVing.

Beautiful work as always. I need to go do that one. If you like that area, you should check out "The Angel of Death" and "Long Dong Silver" just west of Hanksville. Absolutely incredible . I have a feeling your cinematography would really look amazing there.

I have seen some brief info wow death towers! If climbing. I’m think it would be cool to get some awesome drone shots though, amazing stuff. There’s a similar, smaller one on the south east side of Mt Garfield. Thank you for your support and comment!

Just outstanding. I'll be in that area this November and am considering this hike. The area of concern is the tight fit under the bolder or the scramble over it if I followed you correctly. I'd hate to get that close and not be able to finish. Your camera and drone shots are outstanding on a great day to capture it. Any other words of caution or what to expect would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I honestly never even noticed the crawl under option though I did hear/knew it existed. . . I'm a climber at heart anyway so I didn't look too hard. I did see a video where normal sized guys, 170, 6' did a tight squeeze and needed to remove their packs to barely fit. . . That was the only section that gave me any pause, the rest was class 2 that I could easily handle, some even snow covered. . . dry, total non-issue. That dirt is steep and loose though. . . .all south facing and dries fast. . .a trekking pole or 2 would not hurt. . .

I did that hike a couple of years ago. I found it to be quite scary, mainly due to how loose it was underfoot (I did it when the ground wasn't damp or anything). I actually found coming down more scary than going up. I wore holes in the seat of my pants due having to descend so much of it on my butt. Having said that, it was exhilarting and one of the highlights of my life.

@@KarlDeckerPresents It’s magical. We are planning to explore the spires below Factory Butte and the drive to the overlook. We have done Upper Cathedral Valley drive twice which got us realizing the other treasures. I asked about the drone because I plan to upgrade from my Mavic Mini to the Mini 3 Pro for a better camera and tracking capability. We can’t climb like you can, but are still out there enjoying and exploring! My email is provided in all my video comments. I’m happy share thoughts and knowledge.

@@lynnnorthrup8914 for max versatility the mini 3 pro with the all in one rc is so quick easy and light. The flight characteristics are a bit sloppy but worth it for the small package. Cathedral valley is in my future with the motorcycle! I did research climbing Factory butte as well but the “loose factor” is huge making for lots of objective danger! May do it but no video. . . Cheers Lynn, I’ll stay in touch

@@KarlDeckerPresents For the price difference, would the Air 2S be worth it vs. the Mini 3 Pro? You get a better camera and better flight characteristics. What are your thoughts. Thanks, Lynn
@KarlDeckerPresents
@KarlDeckerPresents Жыл бұрын
@@lynnnorthrup8914 the cameras are fairly comparable and, unless you’re flying fancy patterns I don’t think you’ll really notice the flight characteristics. The air 2S is better in Highwinds but, it has to be pretty windy to even matter. I usually fly the air 2S from the trail head and carry the mini 3 since it’s so much smaller, lighter and flies longer per battery.
