So, here is the problem. North Carolina voted to elect a Democrat for the offices of governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and superintendent of public instruction. When we cast our votes, we understood the responsibilities of each of these offices. We also voted and broke the Republican super majority in the state legislature. But now, after the election, Republicans have decided to strip powers from the incoming Democrats and shift these powers to Republicans that won other offices. Thsi should not be legal and does not reflect the will of the people. The incoming governor won by 15 points - an amazing feat in a state that also chose to support Trump for president. Let him and the other incoming elected officials do the jobs for which they were chosen. (It is also worth noting that the only reason that Republicans had a super majority for the past two years is because one representative - Tricia Cotham - switched parties. She ran as a Democrat, vowing to protect abortion rights, and then she broke all of her campaign promises and became a Republican - just months after the 2022 election.)

When was this originally recorded? It was uploaded on the 12th but the Supreme Court race had already been decided three days prior when the state board of elections was satisfied with the progress of the second recount and ruled they would NOT conduct a third 100% recount of every single ballot (Riggs ended up with MORE votes on the first recount). The 60,000 ballots challenge by the MAGA candidate was thrown out the day before this video was released.

Here's how you fight it - you join with others and invent ways to stop the grab. You try everything until you find what works. Basically, there are two ways, the long and the short. The long way is to work within the system as it exists, and the shorter way is to take to the streets and disrupt things so much that they can't ignore you. Neither one happens overnight and neither one is easy. But it's possible. My generation stopped the war in Vietnam. Yours can save democracy, and I'll be right there in the streets with you.

The people in power have this right because they were elected and their term is not over. Nobody had their choices taken away. The new lawmakers will get their chance to serve. I live in N.C. and am fine with this. I don't think that Judicial election will be overturned. There would have to be serious issues over the legitimately of the ballots for them to be thrown out.
