When studying American cultures, it may not be surprising Mark Robinson has this view. It is not uncommon, especially in southern US states, that conservative black culture is predominantly patriarchal, supporting the belief that women should be subservient to men, much less be in positions of power. These beliefs largely have a religious basis, mostly extremely conservative interpretations of Christianity.

The GOP has been working on forcing a Constitutional Convention for years. I forget how many states have signed on now--28? and I think they need 35 to get that convention where they will essentially rip the Constitution to shreds and rewrite it to be a full-on Christofascist/white male supremacist enforcing document. Back in the day, I used to drive down to Myrtle Beach for 2 weeks, every summer. Did it for decades and my ex's family, decades before us. Oftentimes we'd spend time in all the states we had on our route, and I remember going to Carolina Beach in NC. It had a handful of small hotels, wasn't well known, and we loved staying at one hotel that sat right on the beach. I wish I could remember its name...but my point is, through all the good times I had every time I stayed there, I can't believe that the good people we got to know there, would find this horrible individual acceptable. Please, check to see you're registered and vote for democracy. Not for people who want to destroy it.
