The turn overs, the shooting, fouls & selfish play are just a few of our first half issues. Oh yeah & defense. We let every team shoot 70%+ in the first half.

The concerns are easy to identify. Defense and rebounding. Our guards have been unable to stay in front of people. By letting opposing guards in the paint, the rest of the defense is breaking down, and so is the rebounding.

The guards played average of 35 minutes a game. Legs get tired when going back to back to back. Shots fall short on 3s . Fts missed at end of games. Makes player a step slower on defense. Tired legs cause a number of problems.

We have got to get off to a better start in the beginning of games by playing aggressive defense early and often without fouling. You can't keep falling behind to really good teams by double digits early and have to fight back the rest of the game. Go Heels!!

Coach Rob says there's no reason to talk about it now, but I'm not very coachable. Those who kept insisting during the offseason that J Wash could handle the 5 were terribly wrong. He can't, & Hubert knew it. That's why he tried so hard to land a quality 5 in the portal. When he couldn't land one, he of course expressed confidence in his player. But when Elon & Hawaii go at him, all doubt should be gone. Lubin appears to be a better option, but I fear our weakness there will keep the Tar Heels in the 15-25 rank range.

This is going to be a unpopular take but I think that one of the starting guards (Elliot, RJ, or Seth) needs to come off the bench. Its going to hurt one of their egos but it needs to be done. The problems with rebounding and defense are going to get worse if all 3 continue to start. People saying that Lubin should start over J Washington may be right but I dont think it will translate into. a big production jump from the 5 spot. We are getting 15 and 10 from that position. I also feel like the first option for J Washington should be a pick and pop player, not a pick and roll player.

Their assist to turnover ratio plummeted. They're beginning to resemble the team when Calab was playing, too much one on one dribble and drive. This happening is like a cancer, attributes to team standing around off ball, quietly plants seeds of discontent, and loss of team unity. Like you said, those who have break downs w. weak defense (or other areas lacking effort) should sit. A lot of this is on the coaching staff. What happened to Tyson?

One of the problems that is not being talked about is Cadeau and RJ. Cadeau has forgotten he is and assist man first and a scorer second. He needs to get back to assisting the other players. 10 points and 10 assist is what he should be striving for. RJ doesnt have to play hero ball if he let the game come to him and keep moving he will be more efficient. The two of them did more to hurt the team than help the team. The two of them have to be more efficient about going to the basket

Our guards are penetrating to the basket and either missing layups or getting blocked or losing the ball on the dribble. I've been surprised...I expected better play from our guards and im not saying they won't come around...they must for this season to be successful. Coordinated teamwork and making shots and not turning the ball over!

I keep returning to this channel because of the optimism, and hope we can all keep it up. I like this team, even as we take stock of deficiencies, these guys can win games. I hate to see us lose, ever. Hubert's first ever T was both a mystery and a gift to MI St, when they were faltering. The Auburn game was just a skunk, and we've got to make big plays and get stops to be able to compete. I'm not ready to trash J. Wash or J. Wit, but it may be time for them to come off the bench. What our front court lacks in brute strength and size is evident to all. I'd like to see a high rotation that will keep our front court guys fresh. The game agaist MI St hurts because we could have won this one, and just wiffed. Unfortunately, what (fans) are going to carry into the rest of the season is the nagging feeling that the close ones aren't really ours to win. I hate moral victories, but that's the only trophy we've earned in Maui. 😕🏆Hopefully HD will help the team pull through these last two games. Thanks Locked On, for cheering with us. J-wash is soft, and j withers is soft. We need physicality. Therefore, i would start lubin and play home 30 mins. I would play claude more. He may not be super talented but has heart and grit to do dirty work.

we’re supposed to be an elite program but over the last couple of seasons(even under Roy)we don’t seem to be attracting 5 Star bigs(6-9 and above)despite the history of being an inside out team,it’s frustrating 😬l have faith in Hubert but the level of recruiting needs to improve 🤔l don’t think this particular team as constructed is championship caliber,so what l hoping for a a top five ACC finish,at least 2 wins in the ACC tournament and a invite to March Madness 😏

Let's all remember lubin avg in a stacked SEC conference, 12.3 PPG along with 6 board's shooting over 30 percent from 3, he should be out 5 at 6,8 let Jalen Wash back him up. He had 9 pts in 12 mins vs much state and for some reason Hubert set him!?!?!!! Run Drake at the 4. 2nd option move withers to the 5 at 6,9 with more athletic abilities and Drake at the 4 small and fast everyone has to hit the boards. Cade Tyson has to get outta his head too whatever is going on with him and he needs to be a solid backup 3 or 4 man that can come in and hit some shots from deep.. we need a bounce back win at home vs bama fellas come on!!!

Here's my opinion on the starting lineup. Cadeau, Davis, Powell, Washington, Lubin. Go Big!!!!!!! Tremble, Jackson, and Withers can come off the bench. Rebounding and defense are pathetic compared to normal Carolina teams. I think this should be our 5 vs Alabama. 0.3 is our rebounding margin. That should be 7 or more. Defense would be better with this five too. Our bigs aren't gonna get 10 rebounds a game playing those minutes they're getting BTW. Go Heels!

I like Hubert, but there are some trends with his teams: not playing the first half, poor transfers who don’t pan out, players who are shot/miss happy given the green light, non existent assists & missing really close shots just to name a few. He seems to coach from a place of fear. Scared to let his best players get a rest, scared to use the bench, scared to rely on freshmen, scared to tell players who shouldn’t shoot not to shoot.

The small ball line up with 3 guards is not working. We need more physicality at the 4 and 5 spot going forward. Our guards are getting beat up and someone's going to go down hurt. This is a realistic starting 5 with Cadeau, Tremble, Powell, J. Wash and Lubin. Then sliding off the bench as subs... RJ, Jackson, J.Wit and Claude or Brown at the 5.

Hubert has not shown any skill at the transfer portal. Just one bad pick after another. He lucked out with Manek, but wouldn’t even have played him if Garcia didn’t get hurt. Other than that, only Ingram was reasonably good. The rest have been mediocre with a flash once a year or so.
