Thank you for posting this. All of my Childhood Holidays were spent on that caravan Site in the 1970's, both at Whitsun, and at the end of September. My Mom & Dad were so happy when we stumbled on it (we were staying at a site in Croyde) They always used to try and get Pitch No1 right next to the gate as it was the most level, and had the best views. Memories of My Dad (thirty-something), and me (between 5 and 12 years old) learning how to surf. Mind you, that Cafe was just a wooden hut selling crisps, Ice creams, and Bovril back then. In September the tides would cover all of the beach, and I remember evenings standing just to the right of the Cafe getting sprayed with huge waves crashing onto the rocks. In the mornings, we would smack a golf ball along the beach to get the papers from Woolacombe. Thanks again for the nostalgia trip.

You can stay overnight in your campervan at Putsborough Sands in the adjacent car park area in “The High Vehicle Park”. Charges vary between £25 and £45 per night depending on the time of year and how busy it is. There is no need to book, just turn up. Unfortunately, there is no electric hook- up and there are no hot showers. We wish we could improve on this arrangement, but we just don’t have the space or facilities.

In the late 1950's I went here with my parents nearly every year! Amazing place, although no caravan park in those days and public free entry

I live a couple of miles from this site. Always thought it looked like a nice place to stay, thats if you can handle the lanes.

Those lanes! Would have to arrive in the dead of night. Thanks for the comment. Stay safe and enjoy your wonderful surroundings.

@@Tintenter I've just taken the dog for a walk on Putsborough beach. I think it must be half term because I encountered several drivers of London registered expensive 4x4s who hadn't a clue how to reverse. 😂

Thankyou 😍

I believe that you are advised to arrive and leave during the night as the lanes down to Putsborough are very narrow with passing points only. It's not for the feint hearted!

Like your videos but they are very wobbly. Might be worth buying a gimbal?
