North End Beach - Isle of Iona - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini 3 Pro and GoPro12

For a long time, North End Beach (aka Traigh an t-Suidh) on the Isle of Iona was our favourite beach in Scotland. It was partially caused by the beautiful weather we had when we visited it for the first time, but mostly, because we fell in love with the Isle of Iona. From that moment we realised how amazing Scottish beaches are.
North End Beach is a stretch of white sand on the northern side of the island, just west of White Strand of Monks beach which we presented a few videos ago. It offers more solitude than its eastern neighbour, partially because it is a bit further from the centre of the island and the path leading to it is less prominent. The second reason for this sense of seclusion is the fact, that during the low tide, the beach becomes much bigger and in some places, rocks, which during higher tide are standing in between the sand and the water, are becoming a some sort of a curtain, behind which new small, temporary beaches are created, divided from each other with rocky walls. We love to put our things on stones and explore these secret beaches for as long as they exist, and then observe the water which fills gaps in the rocks during rising tide. The view from North End Beach is also great. To the north, you can see a small rocky island not far away, which also has a hidden beach on the other side, and then other islands of the area, including Isle of Staffa or Lunga. To the east, you can see the Isle of Storm, the northern part of White Strand of Monk Beach and the western part of the Isle of Mull. To the west lies a dramatic, rocky coastline which stretches to the Port Ban Beach. To the south, you can see a Dun I hill. The beach is also sometimes visited by sheep grazing on beautiful dunes covered with grass.
