The bikers were very lucky that beef happened in China Town because if it was in the North End they would not have made it out of there!! All the beefs I ever saw in the N.E. growing up would start out with 2 or 3 North End guys on 2 or 3 out of towner guys and in less than 5 minutes there would be 50 more guys comming out of every doorway getting in the fight.. The out of twoners always ended up on the ground getting kicked till everyone got tired of kicking!! Gungadin must have seen it all!! Love his stories !! Like the little shot at the end with Rocco and Joey Lanza...I use to be best friends with his brother Chris !!

I drove through the North End, Hanover St. It appeared to be all nerdy young people and junkies. Back in the day, what was the relationship between North End and other neighborhoods like Dot or Southie?

All were exclusive to those who lived in the neighborhood. In other words you stayed in your part of the city for the most part . If you were e ever to go to a different neighborhood ie. southie, dot, Roxbury , Charlestown or east Boston and disrespected there turf .... u got cracked ! Sometimes even if u didn’t do Anthony wrong jus cause u were there u wd get beat up . In my time we called Hanover street ... Hangover street! Lol
