ratsnakes are so under rated, they are almost always super chill and just awesome snakes to handle overall.

Had a surprising 13 species day yesterday. Was near 90 degrees. Flipping and cruising. Snake species were a copperhead, 2 black rats, ring necks, browns, Graham's crayfish, sipedon, rombifer, racers and 11 milks. Skunked out on timbers, saugas and fox snakes. Herped NE, MO and KS.

I live in north Ga. Found a hog nose and a bull snake or a pine snake as u call it. The pine snake was more yellow. Very beautiful snake we took it down the road to the college the teacher wanted to keep it for show and tell. Said he would turn it lose five hundred says he still has it. More yellow than the one you found down south. We have some big timber here to. Be safe keep your foot back when flipping that tin. It only takes one to ☠️💀 u.

Hello Noah, dou you think that snakes that has been handled once or twice a year can be tame, or used to be handled ? Like they have some kind of long term memory ?

Hey friend, I lived in New York all my life on Long Island. I never saw a snake. I sold my home and I bought a place in Easley Pickens County South Carolina. I didn’t know they had six different venomous snakes down there. Please tell me I’m panicking for nothing I’m afraid to open the hood of my car, I’m afraid to change my motor oil. I’m gonna watch your channel so I can get a costume to them. I think the copperhead is the most beautiful snake. I think I’m letting the fear get to my head.

I hope you get this. A land owner behind me is clearing his land and moved in a use double wide trailer. I have lived here for 8 yrs. with no issues. The day he started clearing the landI ended up with about 15 different snakes.some look like a catfish-gator, long black with white strip. Would you kñow how I can get them out of my trailer or how can I catch them with something to get them back out side. I am very scared of snakes. They end up in my bed room at night.please help me if you know of a way to get them out of my trailer.I live in central Florida..I don't want to move .

WHAT EVEN!? Man those were some smokin' kings. And a milk and a hog, jeez, and not to mention everything else but what a dope day of herping. I think everything you find a kingsnake you should yell "BOOM SHAKALAKA". That would off the charts fantastic. Anyway, me and wife love your content and appreciate all of it. Catch you on the flip-side. Richard and Heather from Arkansas

what you say at 2:20 makes me feel a bit better about myself. If a herper of your caliber can go blank for 4 hours, in good habitat in good conditions, then I guess I shouldn't feel so bad about my herping abilities

Herping season is just starting up on Long Island, NY. Haven’t really found much to speak of yet. Most days it’s just dipping painted turtles that I startle. I haven’t seen a snake in quite some time. There’s a lot of development going on, so the herping areas are becoming scarce. I’ve been doing most of my herping in county parks as they keep the wildlife habitat in good condition. All of the private lands in my area are off limits now. Too much litigation going on for people to trust you not to sue, even if you state that you’re not going to hold the land owner responsible. Will see what just can find in the coming days. Taking some time off work, so who knows.
