All of my family has Capricorn placements, and I grew up judged and restricted. I know they’re karmic. I think it’s very interesting to have a north node in cancer, about family, and for my family to be karmic and have a lot of Capricorn. I know for a fact that my heart chakra closes around my family. I feel extremely restricted and I’ve always taken note of how cold, inexpressive and unemotional my family is. Small talk and business talk is their only Language. I always felt so frustrated by it, so deeply unsatisfied. My childhood best friend has a cancer moon and when she introduced me to her chaotic, loud, crazy family, I felt so at home, so happy. So satisfied. Meeting her changed my life and I discovered parts of me a never knew were there. I meet a lot of Capricorn rising people who attempt to Control me, and I hate how I feel around them. I am so drawn to CANCER risings and cancer moons! Not necessarily cancer suns weirdly.

It sounds like where ever we are placed we need to find our people. I am Capricorn sun and I never felt like that at all, I'm not into business or money. I feel much more my Sag Rising and my Gemini Moon. But all the rest of my birth family were born in Cancer. My home was a very introverted space and I longed for the loud friendly family. Always seeking.

It has to be karmic which is so annoying, my parents and 1 brother of mine all capricorn, can relate my mum hated crying

Thank you for this information. It really helps to explain why I am so in conflict with my self. All that you have said about my North and South nodes explains me. I’m 60 now and I really am in the process of moving into my softer life and learning how to balance my Capricorn drive. It’s complicated but necessary to understand. Thanks again.

Thank you for explaining about the nodes. This is supposed to be my birth chart, however very little of what you explained feels like it fits, I’ve struggled to make a living doing something I love. Meanwhile I’ve been sensitive my whole life. From a very early age I figured out I’m here to learn what it is to be human. I’ve been hurt a lot emotionally but I have a happy marriage - going on 48 years now - and raised two lovely daughters. One of the daughters by her choices brought us a lot of heartache, so much pain and suffering. We are raising her grandchildren, however, I don’t care much for cooking, but I do it anyway. I don’t get much out of gardening but I love nature. We just want the grandkids to know we believe in them and don’t give them a lot of issues, we watch them grow their own unique way and we stay out of their way except for holidays and birthdays. They are teenagers or older now and seem like they are doing well. My biggest frustration is that I have creative passions in art and ways I can help people through energy healing but because I’m compassionate I tend to give away rather than ask for money in return. (I’m a retired teacher and retired art therapist.) it just seems like a south node Capricorn person should be able to make money through their passions. But there are perhaps other aspects to my chart that affect me. I am impressed with the fact that I was a leader somehow in my past life. I do believe was a nun at some point. I have no fear of standing in front of a crowd and talking. I think it was because as a child I decided I was always going to be pointed at, picked on, and told I’m different. So I embraced it.

Perfect timing and brushing up. I feel like to me the North node \ south node is vital for keeping in line with my soul .. I’m 41 I still struggle with Capricorn things and call for Cancer things it’s very hard to be that vulnerable but the hardness to cover up that up as ‘weakness’ or slack takes a huge toll As you said if it’s not in line with soul somethings a miss the more I grow and age the more my soul calls to me to look I appreciate good astro and others helping me to see 🙏 btw it’s always awesome how match your clothing to the colors of you’re intro

North node in Cancer 4th house here and this definitely is true. I'm a 40 yr old stay at home mom. I really enjoy being a homemaker. I'm in the process of becoming an entrepreneur as well, because my Capricorn south node/ mercury is always tugging at me, lol.

I'm of the cohort from the early 1960s. It was really in my late 20s, my first Saturn return, that led me further into Cancerian energies. My north node happens to conjunct my Ascendent in my 1st house, so it's about a self-focus, an inner focus. Of course, yes, when I was young I was all about academic then career excellence. I never wanted nor had any kids, so that was not my path. No, it has been more about self-nurturance and learning to come to peace with my emotions. Movies have been a great tool for emotional release. I remember clearly the first time, as a young adult, watching a movie (Flatliners, of all things) that broke the dam. I sobbed and sobbed, the pent-up emotions from childhood couldn't be denied. Before that I'd get such pain in my throat from holding the emotions back. Now I welcome the cathartic release that comes (though I still prefer to do it in private!). Just today I re-watched a favorite movie (Regarding Henry) and enjoyed a good cry from the heart-warming moments. I had the opportunity to retire from an engineering career in my 40s and I took it, and no regrets whatsoever. I have enjoyed many hobbies in my life, the primary one for the last 20 years being watercolor painting.

Marilyn Monroe had North Node in Cancer. The tragedy of her life is that she was always being called to focus on building a family and be a good mom by her North Node. But she kept giving into her need for ambition and career success (South Node Capricorn). She got the career success but ended up dying alone, childless and miserable. The truth is she walked away from every opportunity to put family over career when it was offered to her. Her first husband Jim Dougherty was a decent man who loved her and just wanted to raise kids with her. She left him to become an actress. Her subsequent husbands, Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller were attracted to her fame and sex appeal after she achieved success, but they ended up being abusive men with whom she was unable to recreate the safe nurturing home she had with Jim. Had Norma Jeane (her real name) listened to her North Node in Cancer and stayed with Jim and built a family instead of going to Hollywood, she would have had a fulfilling life. She died famous, but sad and alone. Not a win in my book.

North node in cancer in the 4th house I’m not good with feeling my emotions I’m caring tho but I also like my freedom and space I’ve been hardworking a lot of my life trying to be build a stable home for myself. I love kids and maybe would like to have some but I wanna get my life together it’s a big cost

I'm 23 and working to understand how this resonates with my life. I do feel like from a young age I have been very ambitious and felt like career would be where I shine the brightest. At the same time, I have always been very nurturing towards others and felt fulfilled being around children and felt like I want to build a family. I think this is also complicated by the fact that my mother is a capricorn

I don't have a conjuct with my north node in Cancer 9th house I have 7:43 a Trine to Chiron. I am 60. Widow 4 years. Huge family dynamic of narcissist and my mother is also. Married more than once. No children. And lived in Maryland from 2007 thru August 2021. Living in Florida 3 years in October 2024. I have been a member of KZbin since 2016. I do have my own house now. Live by myself.

Yeah, that's me. Throughout my life I have always ended up badly with Capricorns, especially women, they make my life quite difficult. And every time I do my part and things end badly: they lie, they deceive me, they speak badly of me, they complain of the air I take in, just imagine whatever you want in this sense. . It doesn't fail. And yes, the leader thing has haunted me in my life and I don't like it, I have always sought to work as a team, and they end up asking me to tell them what to do, etc. I like freedom, I believe each one has the capacity and the sacred right to choose. But yes, I am the one who thinks things through, the one who proposes, etc., and it doesn't fail. It is quite tiring. I want to change nodes. I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing with my life I accomplished all of my goals that I had set for myself coming out of high school as far as careers years ago and seriously struggle connecting with anybody on a personal level I seem to attract really broken people

I’m also a Taurus sun and cancer north node/capricorn south node and am 42… my soul is definitely seeking softness, warmth, compassion and nurturing so I’m finding ways to give that to myself and to be in environments where I feel those qualities being reflected and reciprocated. I started with lots of self love, grounding in nature, breathwork and other holistic practices to establish a new foundation and be able to hear what my heart was calling me to and it has been much easier to know what my next steps are🦋

it feels like there are two sides to my brain in this placement! my heart wants to let go and be soft (I have a partner who is aries sun, with scorpio rising and moon, he complements me so well and makes me feel safe in vulnerability) but then my cap south node is very demanding and I always feel like I SHOULD be more productive and planning my next business. I think I’m now trying to find a method of working that nurtures both sides of me and I feel stuck. I’ve gotten much more involved in healing arts and spirituality, but just don’t know where to turn with this north/south node placement always fighting in my head haha! anyone have any advice on the job front or just navigating the placement in general? my specific is NN in cancer 7th house, with SN cap in 1st house
