Lol, it might help to challenge yourself to have small talk but look at it like a game between you and yourself to gauge how much you’re growing. in the sense that you try to walk away from each interaction knowing a lot about a person by genuinely listening to them and engaging in the small talk.

You perfectly described everything about my life, lol I also have Chiron in my 11H and have a very hard time connecting with people. I think with North node in Gemini, we might not also say it out loud but in our minds are constantly screaming "How can everyone be this stupid!!?!" I guess people pick up on that energy from me. I try to understand...I really do but I just don't "get it". Honestly, my sister is a Gemini Sun and I think without her, I would be completely lost when it comes to Gemini energy. 💜 thank you for sharing. I struggle with this all the time. Get irritated that people don’t get me and bored trying to understand others. Feels easier to clam up and remain in my own world. The idea of breaking me down into small spoonfuls and listening first to know what advice to share is very helpful. Remembering that I cannot force people to swallow my elephant is very helpful. Bad habit to break is thinking that others are beneath me instead I will look at it as I must be patient with them and take slow steady small steps to understand where they are on their journey and offer my experiences with what is relatable to them. I definitely am not good at small talk but I didn't myself into it. I feel like a nomad because I literally moved across country 3.5 years ago to California and I want to move again. I actually want to be apart of VanLife so I'm going to get an RV when I get the chance. I think a LOT! Very intuitive. I can always sense when something in wrong with a person or a space.

So much THIS! It's like Cassandra in Greek mythology, warning the Trojans to not bring that giant wooden "gift" horse into the city... that worked out so well for everyone...and they NEVER LEARN! 🙄 DOH! The most frustrating thing is that we don't always know and can't fully explain with an entertaining catchphrase exactly HOW we know (that small talk Achilles heel), so when we're right, no one remembers, or it's "just a coincidence".

I used to think I knew a lot, but during a Saturn transit a few years ago, I discovered that I don't know as much as I thought I did. I've been researching and expanding my mind for years, and now I'll never know enough. I've had to focus on family and community most of my life, I just got married (I only met my husband after my Saturn Return started this year!) to someone of same religion and similar background; that's one kind of community, maybe? People are always impressed by how many languages I speak, how much knowledge I have in general, but since the past couple of years, I feel like I don't have enough knowledge. I was always curious about the truths of this world, but I didn't always feel comfortable researching them. It's like I finally grew a spine at 23, and I'm not afraid of my world views being challenged anymore, not afraid to dig deeper for the hard truths, and I'm at a place where I can have informative and well worded discussions with others who think differently, even disagree, in a much more relatable way, and it usually ends in people appreciating that I could help expand their minds. Many disagree with my views on the world, but I don't bring views up to people I know will not receive it well, so I decide to talk about things they are more receptive to instead, and that makes me more relatable, I think. I have had a lot of difficult and humbling experiences, so I have a lot more empathy for others. Now at 27, I am still working on improving myself, but I believe there has been a great deal of progress. Now it's like I have to hide my power level from others and talk to others at their level, and everyone is really different. Your words really resonate with me! 💜

Ah, yeah, the small talk ... why bother (me) with it when I have MILLIONS of more interesting things to think and talk about? It just doesn't make sense - like most things people do, seen from way up here in orbit👽. It's always so much more helpful hearing these placements described by someone who actually has experienced it - my own N.N. placement is 3rd house in Taurus, conjunct (5°) IC, with Neptune in Scorpio 9th 3° from MC and 2° from S.N. - it's like being stuck in a roundabout, and all the signs are in a foreign language, I can't tell if I'm coming or going! I truly dislike this placement (and my chart in general). I have tried to find/grow acceptance for it, but in the end, it all feels like just living from a place of phoniness, hoping something will "take" eventually (e.g. "fake it tiI make it") and it never does. I never really understood how to connect to people on surface things because the surface things about life that they talk about I don't have or want. So I could listen to you talk about your spouse or your kids, etc, but I can't relate and how much do I really have to listen to things about which I can't relate and don't care about? Is my life really meant to just be listening and not contributing for the sake of "learning" and "being a student"? I am just so confused and my chart full of mostly squares does not help. Sometimes I just want to chalk this incarnation up to a loss and hope for a better go around next time.

Completely agree! It took away my joy to have to small talk about general things in life…i felt icky. I found another way to look at it with a purpose and with intention. I still talk about the dumb stuff but with humor and it’s a very limited amount of time until they ask me intellectual questions later on. Just like she said…it takes small increment doses for people to be able to really get to know us bc they would be overwhelmed by how much knowledge we really have to say.
